10.2 started the homeostasis topic last week and have made some models to consolidate the work on synapses and reflex actions.

Miss Thurlow's Tips:

1. In a genetic diagram always circle or label the key part.

2. Always check the units in any calculation question. Do you need to do any conversion before applying the equation?

3. Don't use the term pollution in answers. It's too vague, be specific!

Dr Blas' Tips:
1. Read the exam question twice before answering the question. Pace yourself.

2. Underline the key words in the exam question.

3. Btiefly look through the paper, mark questions you know and attempt them first, come back to the difficult questions you don’t know.

Mrs Francis' top tips

1. Describe = say what you see (what is the pattern, use data). Explain = use your knowledge (why has it happened).

2. Remove any anomalous results when calculating a mean.

3. A line of best fit does not have to be a straight line! A curve is also a line.
