Buses are leaving Yosemite now. Students will reunite with parents soon, full of tales from their week in the woods. Specific info by bus will be posted here as we get closer.
The Yosemite night program presented the backpacking adventure of the Pacific Crest Trail. Students were inspired to be self-reliant, to set goals, and to persevere through tough situations.
Students in Yosemite are fueling up for the day in the dining hall. Reports on the food are positive and the meals were described as being “scrumptious,” “balanced,” and “tasty” by the students.
Students in Yosemite will all experience a challenge hike at some point during their visit. Pictured is Vernal Falls, where some successfully traveled today via the well-known Mist Trail.
Kennedy 8th graders and chaperones have all arrived safely in Yosemite! Students are receiving their orientation and excited for a week of learning in the outdoors.
