Apparently no one was responsible for anything. Things just happened and they had no agency at all. Yet none of them resigned from the party, they all carried on picking up the cushty cheques.

Braverman, Jenrick, Dorries, Kruger and Zahawi were all political heavyweights under the last centre left government and Farage could not wait to suck them off. Holding them up as star players in his new team.

They were either complicit in guiding the direction of travel, so incompetent that they inadvertently did the opposite of what they promised to achieve, or they were so weak they were overwhelmed by the machine and did not have the courage or moral conviction to stand up for their constituents.

Regardless of which one it is, I do not want to hire them again to run the country.

Your point would be valid if the SNP provided resistance against this and had it imposed on them anyway. But they didn't, they lobbied for it, they promoted the idea, they got what they wanted. But now apparently it was imposed on them.

The original statement is wrong.

The premise is that these three collectively form "the right". They don't. Anyone who is right wing votes for Restore.

Farage has spent 2 years marginalising those on the right whilst embracing the same wet Tories who did not implement one right wing policy in 14 years of governance. 71% of current Reform MP's were in that Tory government at the time of the last GE, not to mention making people like Dorries and Zahawi prominent figures in his party who will undoubtedly stand for them at the next GE.

How can they be competing for the "right wing" vote when two of the parties are not right wing.

Easy to say when the livelihood of your family isn't riding on it. I've already had to leave one job in 2019 cause I was called a Nazi by work colleagues (water off a ducks back), asked by HR to stop talking politics (even though all I was doing was rebutting the prevalent Remainer narrative that was openly discussed in my office daily) and then consequently side lined. I was there since 2015 and had been promoted twice in 18 months before I was labelled as a right winger.

That was fine, because I didn't have any kids. Roll onto 2026 and I now have two young children and a Mrs who are dependent on me bringing in a certain amount of money. The only thing I am any good at involves me working for massive lefty tech firms in the City.

I do not have the luxury of stating who I am on X. The HR department for any firm that would employ me would steer clear upon seeing the most milquetoast of posts on my X account. Things like "Men shouldn't play in Women's sports" would make me a controversial figure, too divisive and unpalatable to be offered a job.
