For our final maker space class of the year, one of our 6th graders used the time to create an @arduino project that celebrates #pride! Using @tinkercad circuits, they coded the rainbow coloured LEDs to blink out "LGBTQ" in Morse code!
@jennbairos@MontcrestMakers@montcrest Loved Sebastian’s design! Unfortunately there were some safety and maintenance concerns when it came to the hot tub idea 😂 It was however a good lesson for the whole class on taking constraints into account for a design!
So excited to share that three @montcrest students were selected to have their designs brought to life as part of the #DreamsDrop campaign by @mymachineglobal! Can't wait to see how they turn out!
What an incredible experience! #GettingUnstuck 2020 has been such a fun and thought provoking way to start my mornings over the past two weeks. Big thanks to @karen_brennan & @phaduong for hosting!
Excited to kick-off day 1 of #GettingUnstuck! Today’s prompt was to “create a project where a user gets a surprise every time they click on the screen” #ScratchCoding https://t.co/SZwgTRlpMR
A very special guest joined us at Bakugan Club today! @JuliusCho1, who voices Magnus came on to chat, answer questions and even compare collector cards! #MGM#MoncrestGoesMobile
I can be a bit of a stickler when it comes to naming files, especially in @scratch. When I pointed out to a 5th grader that his project was “Untitled-9”, he found a sneaky way to circumvent the problem...
Made it to my son's school for their concert 10 minutes before the kids hit the stage (thanks to an on-time arrival at Pearson✈️)... It was worth the panic to see this new twist on an old classic.
Way to go, kids! Proud of you.
