Welcome from #RKEFest23 this morning at Headingley Campus. @JulieEBayley is sharing her expertise around meaningful research impact and making a real-world difference.
Was having a bit of a miserable day along with @mobilemobilizer and then we turned on @VOCES8 A Choral Christmas released today. Not only did it get us in the holiday spirit already but lifted our spirits today! https://t.co/AdNIX7mvrI
This morning: our favourite choir @VOCES8 singing Sacred Veil by our favourite choral composer @EricWhitacre on our favourite weekly radio program Choral Concert by @CBCMusic. Great way to spend part of my morning with @KMbeing.
A candle that the wind blew out too soon on this day in 1997. #DianaPrincessOfWales. Remembering her death and the influence of her kind but tragic life.
Exquisite #choral piece by @joelclarkson Jupiter Shall Emerge. Congratulations to composer for selection by @VOCES8. Wonderful addition to #LivefromLondon concert series. New #Canadian fans.
On the train & a couple have been complaining about a colleague since I got on. She’s an extrovert but not a fun one. She doesn’t like doing projects. And without a hint of irony the fella explains that she’s also very judgemental *unlike him*. I have 2 hours of this. Jesus wept
@mobilemobilizer@EricWhitacre@VOCES8 The section on gently approaching the ‘t’ in “sing gently” is an incredible example of how singers can profoundly shape the music. Well done all and thanks to @EricWhitacre@VOCES8 and pianist Christopher for the opportunity to gain insight into this extraordinary piece.
Fascinating hearing @EricWhitacre working with @VOCES8 as they breakdown and work through Sing Gently. The stories he tells provide such depth of understanding to this pandemic composition. So moving for me and @KMbeing. https://t.co/5XM0R8NDj5
That's great! In-person interviews offer a unique opportunity for rich and nuanced data collection, allowing for direct interaction and a deeper understanding of participants' perspectives. Best of luck with your interview and may it yield valuable insights for your research!
@MKutney @GeraldKutney He managed to stutter through the words on the teleprompter, but Joe was sad, because he didn't really know what the words meant, only that they wouldn't give him more talky-Joe-drugs if he forgot where he was again. Joe didn't want that. Joe said the mysterious words.
You have our deepest condolences Julie. So good to hear @mobilemobilizer was able to be there for you hearing the news. Wishing you and your family strength at this time.
It goes without saying I’ll be taking some time out, but I have to take a moment to thank @mobilemobilizer for stepping into the fold when I found out and just being the most wonderful human being.
A Reddit user from Denver posted this a few hours ago. She was walking her dogs across the street and the truck either sped up or refused to slow down.
Anyway, whos surprised at this behavior from a truck flying those flags. (1/2)
