@the2ndfloorguy Having a diverse network of friends can open you up to conversations, even if they’re not as deep. If all of your friends are white collar workers for example, you can learn a lot to talking to someone outside of that. Maybe that’s a different type of return than your ROI?

I’d argue that memories made with friends stick with you. Even if you stop being friends, those hours spent together were still fun.
You also can be pushed to new experiences too depending on the friend!

@cremieuxrecueil - Some users here are saying maybe Reddit’s population also shifted and people with no huzz are reflecting on their experiences and encouraging others to break up. I’d be curious to know how many of these people are in successful relationships when giving advice
@cremieuxrecueil could have been affected by the Covid pandemic. Since time was spent more alone in Covid, maybe the default response in adversity is to be avoidant.
