There are two things Iโd like to clarify after sharing my birth story. First, my complication had nothing to do with my age. Pelvic birth injuries can happen to women of any age, whether youโre 17, 25, 35, or 40. Age alone is not the cause.
Second, many people have asked how I was allowed to push for two hours. The truth is, my medical team discussed it with me beforehand. They explained that I had a two-hour window to try for a vaginal birth, and if I didnโt deliver within that time, we would proceed with a C-section. From the beginning, I had made it clear that I wanted to avoid a C-section if it was safe to do so, so we followed that plan within the agreed medical limits.
Every birth is different. My experience is just that,my experience. I shared it to raise awareness, not to blame anyone or spread fear. My goal is to encourage women to ask questions, understand the risks, and make informed decisions together with their healthcare providers.
