Alright everyone. Huge day. Historic. (for me) Today i officially joined the basic 1000 lb club. 245 Bench, 430 deadlift and hit at 325 squat this morning. It was a grinder but form held and i knew i was getting it up the whole time. Extremely pumped. That is all.
Yesterday I slipped on some ice that had been polished by rain.
All my weight came down on my left elbow right on the concrete step outside the back porch.
In the absence of training heavy with barbells I suspect that would have required some level of surgery.
The bone density and tendon strength that comes with the territory saved me a lot of money and hassle.
Was able to walk away with a few days of ibuprofen.
Lift weights. It’s injury prevention and so much more.

Not sure how heavy the bar is in this clip but I loaded 115 lbs. and easily grabbed a single rep. Brought the whole fam downstairs to the gym real quick just to be safe. SDG.
Deadlift PR today ☠️ 💪
420 lbs. 1x3
Deadlift day is the best day of the week, especially when you smash through PRs. These felt awesome today - massively heavy but the bar was still moving fast. This is why you cannot lift according to your feelings.
Still have a huge cheering section, still getting stronger, and still showing up even when it’s not convenient. This is how we win down here. May the Lord be praised!
