KHRC condemns murder of farmer Haolal Singsit by NSCN-IM/ZUF-K on July 11. Days after security forces disarmed Kuki volunteers in Govajang, village left defenseless. We demand arrests, judicial inquiry, end to illegal blockade, security guarantees & end to selective justice now.
Huge victory for our movement!
The Police has now released all detainees just before one hour ago. They had illegally been detained for peacefully protesting for over a day, but the Police has had to bow down to public pressure.
The CJP is no longer conducting its dharna at the Delhi Police HQ.
Unfortunate news coming from Ukhrul, Manipur NSCN(IM) , Tangkhul Naga militant group has carried out IED and Ambush attack on 40 Assam rifles soldiers , Indian army lost 2 soldiers in Ambush.

An archival document dated 17 September 1947 is the historical role of the Kuki-Zo people in the political evolution of Manipur. A distribution list of the Manipur Constitution Making Committee, indicates that several prominent Kuki-Zo leaders were directly involved in the constitutional deliberations that helped shape the state's future during the pre-merger period.
Six Kuki-Zo representatives held positions as members or advisors within the committee:
- Pu Tiankham Paite — B.A., C.O., Member
- Pu K. Teba Kilong — Member
- Pu Thangkhopao Kipgen — B.A., C.O., Member
- Pu Dr. Kampu Gangte — Advisor
- Pu Thangkhai — Advisor
- Pu S.L. Lunneh — President, Kuki National Assembly (K.N.A.), Advisor
The presence of these leaders in one of Manipur’s earliest constitutional bodies is cited as evidence of the longstanding political participation and institutional contribution of the Kuki-Zo community in the state's governance.
The historical record challenges narratives portraying the Kuki-Zo people as recent entrants or outsiders to Manipur. Instead, it points to the involvement of educated Kuki-Zo leaders in the constitution-making process as an indication of their established presence and role in shaping the political foundations of the state.
The archival record has since become part of a wider discussion on Manipur’s history, identity and the contributions of the Kuki-Zo community to the state's constitutional and political development.

HENGLEP, June 17, 2026 — Letzamang Haokip, MLA of 57-Henglep (ST) Assembly Constituency, has strongly condemned the alleged killing of Lenminsang, son of Lenkhogin Haokip, by joint security forces at North Songkong village, Henglep Sub-Division.
The MLA “strongly and unequivocally condemn the shocking killing” of Lenminsang. He called it “deeply disturbing and unacceptable that a civilian has lost his life at the hands of those entrusted.... adding that such incidents “strike at the very foundation of public trust.”
Citing eyewitness allegations, Haokip said that “after he was shot, his clothes were removed and his lifeless body was taken away by the joint security forces.” The statement further alleged that “attempts were made to portray the incident as fake encounter” after death. The MLA said if these allegations are found to be true, it would constitute “a grave abuse of authority and a serious violation of the rule of law.”
Haokip also raised concern over the non-return of the body, stating “The continued failure to return and retrieve the mortal remains... has only compounded the pain and anguish of the bereaved family and the public. Every family has the right to perform the last rites of their loved one with dignity and respect.”
The MLA demanded:
1. Immediate recovery and handover of mortal remains to the family
2. A thorough judicial and independent inquiry into the incident
3. Stringent action against all those found responsible
He added that “Any attempt to conceal facts, tamper with evidence, or misrepresent the circumstances surrounding the death must be investigated and dealt with strictly in accordance with the law.”
Letzamang Haokip extended heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family and said he “stand firmly with them in their pursuit of truth and justice.”

Kultuh #Kuki village, attacked & set ablaze by NSCN-IM. Relentless ambushed & targeting of villages, raise serious questions about who truly ignited the violence of May 3, 2023 & prolonged years of bloodshed & insecurity in Manipur. The pattern is becoming impossible to ignore.
This morning Kultuh Kuki ancestral village was attacked and houses were burnt down. Combined forces of NSCN-IM, NSCN Eastern Flank, Myanmar Meitei Militants, Shanni National Army and Junta military carried out the assault under the protection of Tangkhul CSOs, Tangkhul pastors, and the United Naga Council.
Today we lost two innocent Kuki civilians. One was a head deacon in the church. The other was the youth chairman of the village. Both were killed by NSCN Eastern Flank, NSCN-IM, Myanmar Meitei Militants, Shanni National Army and Junta military while defending our ancestral land.
We send our deepest condolences to the families of our martyred brothers. Their blood was spilled on the soil of their forefathers for simply being Kuki.
We demand immediate arrest of every person involved in the murder of our civilians and the burning of Kultuh. Book the attackers, their handlers, and those who gave them shelter and cover.
Failure to take action will prove that the state has abandoned us. The peace-loving Kuki community has shown restraint again and again while our villages burn and our people are killed. We will not be mute spectators anymore if attacks on Kuki ancestral villages continue.
Kultuh is burning. Two innocent Kuki dead. Foreign militants and insurgents are inside India killing civilians. Act now or own the consequences of your silence.

Kharam Vaiphei, a #Kuki-Zo village, was reportedly attacked and set on fire today by the #ZUF Kamson faction, allegedly linked to the #NSCN-IM. The area had remained relatively peaceful until security forces dismantled bunkers in the vicinity.
Residents are deeply disturbed that, shortly after the bunkers were removed, homes were allegedly burned in the presence of security personnel. This has sparked serious questions about how such an incident could unfold despite the deployment of armed forces.
The affected community deserves clarity, accountability, and justice. An independent and transparent investigation is crucial to determine the facts and address the concerns of the people. @NIA_India@YKhemchandSingh@UNHumanRights@KonthoujamG@LokBhavManipur@official_dgar@crpfindia@Spearcorps@adgpi@rashtrapatibhvn@SCJudgments
This is how Liangmai chief NSCN IM ZUF kamson group and Arambai Tenggol MyammarMeiteiMilitants eating together food in the Liangmai village in Kangpokpi district to burnt the Kharam Vaiphei village.
And how Kangpokpi SP and Central force terminate the Village volunteer and the villagers in Kharam Vaiphei while NSCN IM ZUF kamson group and Arambai Tenggol MyammarMeiteiMilitants freely burning and captured one Kuki civilian.
Regarding their eating together in Liangmai village with the chief and NSCN IM ZUF kamson group and Arambai Tenggol MyammarMeiteiMilitants, there are many things coming up now. They will target Leilon Vaiphei village again by using Kangpokpi SP and Central force especially Gorkha regiment.

A purported audio leak attributed to Hanshi Ramshan of the NSCN-IM (EF) has surfaced online, revealing sharp differences and internal tensions within the Naga insurgent leadership. In the alleged recording, Ramshan addressed several grievances directed at NSCN-IM General Secretary Thuingaleng Muivah and other senior leaders of the organisation.
In the audio, Ramshan denied allegations linking him to drug rackets and other unlawful activities, calling the accusations “unfounded” and questioning why such claims were being made against him. He further asked what their “ally China” would think of such allegations and questioned whether such accusations were part of a “foreign mission.”
Ramshan also claimed that he had been “terminated” and removed from Muivah’s circle and from the “Nation,” despite previously holding Muivah and his leadership in high regard. He accused certain leaders of misleading Muivah through hearsay and warned that such actions could lead the leadership “to the wrong end.”
The leaked audio further revealed Ramshan’s strong opposition to any political settlement that compromises Naga sovereignty. He specifically named Ningkhan Shimray, also known as Longvibu of the NSCN, and VS Atem, Deputy Ato Kilonser, alleging that they were politically aligned with the Government of India. According to Ramshan, his opposition toward them was political rather than personal.
In the recording, Ramshan also questioned repeated requests for him to “come home,” claiming that his current location posed a strategic challenge to the Government of India. He alleged that the Indian government viewed his presence as a major obstacle in its efforts to “subjugate and dominate” the Naga movement.
The audio further referenced former interlocutor RN Ravi and an individual identified as “Awo Hao,” alleging collaboration in political developments concerning the Naga issue.
Despite his criticisms, Ramshan expressed personal respect for Muivah and stated that he held no personal hatred toward him. He said he remained committed to the Naga sovereignty movement and vowed to continue fighting for it “till my last breath.”
The authenticity of the leaked audio tape has not been independently verified, and there has been no official response from the NSCN-IM leadership at the time of reporting.

🚨Reasons why Tangkhuls of Manipur are not Nagas:
Meitei author @laimacha argues that the Tangkhuls who originated & migrated from Myanmar are THE LOST, IDENTITY-CONFUSED TRIBES & CULTURAL ORPHANS of MANIPUR who Concocted & Fabricated the Unique History of Nagas or Nagalim.
Excerpts from the article:
■British sowed the seed for the Fabricated history of "Tangkhul History."
The origin of Tangkhul is vague & scholars from the same tribe gave different versions of their origin.
■Some Tangkhul scholars say that the Nagas have been in their present settlement (Southern Nagalim-created lately after the 1950s) since time immemorial. However, their own folklore does not support this theory.
Tangkhul folklore tells us that they originated & came from Myanmar.
●Tangkhul calling themselves Naga is like few Meetei linking themselves as the descendant of Arjuna of Mahabharat.
History cannot be discovered or invented. Both the stories of Tangkhuls being a Naga & Meeteis being the descendants of Arjuna were concocted during the 18th & 19th Centuries.
■Tangkhuls cannot simply create a Unique Naga history or Nagalim in the region. If the Britishers were not in the NE Frontier of India, the term "Naga" would not have been created even in 2019 A.D. The Tangkhul of Manipur are not Nagas. Before inventing new chapters on Naga, Tangkhul researchers must study Tangkhul Saram Pakhangba & Yek Salai of the tribe.
●The Tangkhuls claims that the British did not interfere with the affairs of the Nagas. This is completely wrong. Even the term "Naga" was attached with different tribes of Manipur by Christian preachers, anthropologist etc.
●British gifted the Tangkhul "Christianity", "Naga Identity" & "Western Education" as early as 1890s, yet we regarded Tangkhul as under privileged tribes in the Indian Constitution. The Tangkhuls are the lost tribe of Manipur.
■Some 10 years ago, before Th Muivah & Government of India came together for a Ceasefire Agreement, the real Nagas from Nagaland regarded Tangkhuls as an unwelcome guest & ruled out the possibility being a part of the Nagas. This political marriage will not be acceptable to the Nagas of Nagaland even today.
■If Tangkhul Scholars & Political researchers are claiming tribes of Manipur (be it the Tangkhul, Kabui, Thangal, or Maram) have a close unique history with the Nagas of Nagaland, where is the connecting link between them? This is why we call the Tangkhuls the lost tribe in Manipur.
●Distortion of words & terms to get a unique history of Nagas in Manipur is a blunder made by Tangkhul scholars nowadays. They want every Meetei name or term to be abolished from the Tangkhul village to delink the age-old history of Tangkhul in Manipur to represent themselves as Nagas. On the contrary, even today, one Tangkhul village can't understand the dialects of another village in Manipur.
■Every tribes of Manipur who are proud to call themselves "Naga by Blood" must answer Where is Naga, what language does Naga speaks, What religion does Naga follows, how old is the political history of Naga?
The word "Naga" came only 200 years ago.
○If Tangkhul considers themselves as Naga, why there is not a single Tangkhul word in the Naga Nationalism? Why can't the torchbearers of Southern Nagalim in Manipur be able to insert a single word in the political domain of Naga?
□The Tangkhuls of Manipur were in their own world when the seed of Naga Nationalism was sown. They have no idea of a Naga movement until 1950s when A.Z. Phizo came to Manipur to gather soldiers for NNC. When Naga boycotted the first Indian election in 1952, why did Tangkhul send Shri Rishang Keishing as the first Lok Sabha MP from Manipur?
■The term "Naga" is mostly suitable for Naked people who lived in the forest where no one can entered & there are no naked tribes in Manipur.

When governments repeatedly fail to protect lives, implement signed agreements or provide basic administrative security, people will eventually be forced to seek their own course of survival and governance.
The directive issued by WCKCSOs-Ukhrul to KCA-U and KSO-U is born out of prolonged neglect, insecurity and Govt. of Manipur @YKhemchandSingh & GoI @narendramodi apathy toward the Kuki-Zo people of Ukhrul and Kamjong district.
A state govt. that has abandoned its citizens should not be surprised when those citizens stop believing in the state itself and oppose their demand for #Separate_Administration.

Big Breaking 🚨. From Manipur.
70 weapons of Meitei militant group UNLF and 4 militants were arrested by Assam rifles and Manipur police after a brief exchange of fire in Imphal, militants were planning a bigger attack on Security forces . Jammers, Drones and many Chinese made weapons captured .
#unlf #imphal.
If someone want to understand Manipur.
Listen from Meitei Militants leaders mouth.
> They banned Sarswati Puja in Manipur, to promote militant ideology.
> Chinese gave them 5000 weapons.
> Openly boasting in Imphal about how he killed 5 CRPF Jawans and took their weapons .
> Kachin & R&AW stopped them from moving to China .
A group which was already dying in Myanmar after Coup, why did our agencies give them oxygen to breathe by bringing them under Ceasefire, giving them a new legitimacy. Yesterday 70 weapons of UNLF were captured.
Same group is now being led by COCOMI with same separatist ideology with backing from Politicians, same group who raise anti-India voices, few agencies & individuals have screwed NE India badly .
