Stan Kroenke: A Message of Gratitude to Mikel Arteta.
On behalf of myself, my family, and everyone at Kroenke Sports and Entertainment, I want to extend our deepest thanks and appreciation to Mikel Arteta for the outstanding work he has done as Manager of Arsenal Football Club.
Since taking charge in December 2019, Mikel has transformed our club with vision, intelligence, relentless work ethic, and an unwavering belief in what Arsenal stands for. He has rebuilt our squad with purpose, instilled a winning mentality throughout the organisation, and returned us to the elite level of both domestic and European competition. The progress we have made under his leadership on the pitch, in our style of play, and in the culture of the club has been remarkable and fills us all with immense pride.
Mikel’s commitment to excellence, his development of young talent, and his ability to unite players, staff, and supporters have been instrumental in restoring Arsenal to where we belong. We are incredibly grateful for everything he has achieved and continue to believe strongly in the journey we are on together.
This message is not just one of thanks for a job well done it is one of continued confidence and partnership. We look forward to many more successful seasons ahead as we strive for the ultimate prizes in the game.
Mikel, thank you. The Kroenke family and the entire Arsenal family stand firmly behind you.

Good guy Roger Federer was just suppose to shake hands and say hello to a Make-A-Wish cancer survivor, instead he flies her and her family to Wimbledon, talks to her for 15 minutes, tells her to change for practice, gives her a tennis racquet to use to hit a few balls with, brings her to the player’s lounge so she can see other players like Murray, Nadal, Haas, Ferrer, Benneteau, Tipsarevic, Serena, etc. After he gave her and her family personalized autographs, he went around and hugged her parents and sister.
He then hugged her, Beatriz Tinoco, and she looked at him sobbing and he looked back with tears in his eyes.
86 years ago today, Winston Churchill, Prime Minister for exactly 5 days, was woken by his phone ringing at 7:30 a.m.
It was Paul Reynaud, the French Premier. His voice was hollow.
"We have been defeated. We are beaten; we have lost the battle."
Churchill, half-asleep, couldn't process it:
"Surely it can't have happened so soon?"
Reynaud: "The front is broken near Sedan. They are pouring through in great numbers with tanks and armoured cars."
The German invasion was 5 days old. The "impassable" Ardennes forest had just funneled seven Panzer divisions through France's weakest hinge.
The next day, Churchill flew to Paris. He asked General Gamelin a single question:
"Where is the strategic reserve?"
Gamelin shrugged. "Aucune."
None. France had no reserve. There was nothing behind the line that had just broken.
Churchill later wrote that this was one of the greatest shocks of his life. The country he'd grown up believing had the finest army in Europe had already lost the war. They just didn't know it yet.
Six weeks later, Paris fell.
The High Court found Safaricom liable for copyright infringement over the “M-TEEN MOBILE WALLET USSD CODE” concept, awarding KES 1.40B in damages plus 0.5% of future gross M-PESA revenue for as long as Safaricom operates M-PESA Go/Manage Child Account or a substantially similar product:
— Peter Nthei Muoki and Beluga Limited claimed Safaricom copied their teenage mobile wallet idea after they shared detailed USSD flows with senior executives between March and June 2021.
— Safaricom argued that copyright protects expression, not ideas, but the court held that the specific USSD menu structure, spending controls, beneficiary management and reporting design were protected expression.
— The court rejected Safaricom’s independent-development defence, citing gaps in its Huawei documentation, no credible final FRS trail and the timing of the product launch after the plaintiffs’ disclosure.
— The court declined to stop the product because of user disruption, but awarded KES 1.40B, calculated as 1% of FY2024 M-PESA revenue, plus 0.5% of gross M-PESA revenue from FY2025 onward.

New addition to Tsavo’s Super Tusker roster, bringing the total to 12 recognised individuals in the Tsavo Conservation Area.
Kulalu (KU1)
KU1, estimated at 40 to 45 years old, is one of Tsavo’s newest Super Tuskers and a striking example of the genetic strength still present in the landscape. His ivory is wide, thick, long, and beautifully symmetrical, curving inward in the classic style of Tsavo’s great bulls. He is easily recognised by a large tear in the lower left quadrant of his left ear, a feature that sets him apart even from a distance.
Although naturally skittish, KU1 is relatively calm when approached carefully and is known to range widely, often moving beyond the boundaries of the national park. His continued growth and impressive tusks firmly establish him among Tsavo’s elite bulls.
