Brian, we've continue to go back and forth on this issue. I'd be interested in taking the conversation off X and across the table from your guests.
Masculinity. Feminism. Personal accountability. American culture.
No prepared talking points. Let everyone make their case and let the audience decide.
@King881884@R0ughHab1tz@JLPtalk I am from the black community. The lack of accountability is a combination of victim mentality and simply not wanting to accept the progress that our nation has made since slavery.
@EsperanceBrooks@mattvanswol Bullying teaches young men that this type of behavior is unacceptable in our society. It forces you to grow up and be a man.
@Excellentsalvic 1. You're not a woman
2. You have a mental illness
3. You can't have babies
4. Women are better than trans women.
5. You have no purpose
History can explain circumstances. It cannot remove personal responsibility. We don't choose every obstacle we're born into but we do make choices about how we respond to them. So where does systemic responsibility end and individual accountability begin?

You are completely correct on the literal vocabulary. However, the concept of human choice is woven into the entire text. While the specific phrase 'free will' is a theological term coined by later scholars, the Bible expresses the idea through commands to 'choose' (Deuteronomy 30:19, Joshua 24:15) and warnings about human 'willingness' (Matthew 23:37).
So you keep your money, the dictionary keeps the phrase, and the Bible keeps the concept."
God gave us Free-will and America gives us freedom of choice. Many black people made the wrong choice. That's not racism. That accountability of one's choices.
@R0ughHab1tz@JLPtalk I do not fully disagree with your notion but I believe that no matter how small or large the crime is do not put yourself in the position to be judged by those who hold authority above us.
