A violent dispute fueled by past enmity turned fatal on the night of 19.06.2022, when Md. Washim @ Gola repeatedly stabbed a man in front of 50, G.J. Khan Road under Tiljala Police Station. The victim sustained multiple grievous injuries and, despite receiving medical treatment, succumbed to them.
The accused was swiftly arrested, and a meticulous investigation by SI Rajib Mondal of Tiljala Police Station meticulously pieced together the evidence, leaving no room for doubt. The Hon'ble Court found Md. Washim @ Gola guilty under Section 302 IPC and sentenced him to life imprisonment, along with a fine of ₹5,000.
A relentless investigation ensured that a brutal act of violence was met with the full force of justice.

What began as a routine Google search for a customer care number ended in a cyber scam costing a victim ₹53,000.
Refusing to let the fraudsters have the last word, Cyber Cell, SSD, sprang into action and recovered ₹50,000. Pursuit of the remaining amount continues.
A moment of courage and swift police action ensured that a minor girl received justice after being sexually assaulted during the Durga Puja immersion festivities at Gwalior Ghat on 13.10.2024. As the victim's friend raised an alarm, the accused was caught red-handed and immediately taken into custody by South Port Police Station.
A diligent investigation by SI Sanjay Chatterjee of South Port Police Station led to the successful conviction of the accused, Kulwinder Singh. The Special POCSO Court, Calcutta, found him guilty under Section 8 of the POCSO Act and sentenced him to four years' imprisonment along with a fine of Rs 10,000.

In the run-up to the 12th International Day of Yoga, South East Division, Kolkata Police organized "Daud Se Dhyan" – a 2 km Run & Yoga Session from Golpark to Vivekananda Park, promoting fitness, mindfulness, and community bonding.
The event was graced by Addl. CP (IV), Kolkata Shri Ashesh Biswas, IPS, DC STF Shri Pradeep Kumar Yadav, IPS, other senior officers, distinguished guest Shri Saheb Chatterjee, and enthusiastic citizens of all age groups.
