Vice President Brandon Morley takes a vote of who is in favor of writing a letter of support for the new core curriculum changes. Letter of support is approved.
"We'll work with the different majors, and we have the flexibility to do that with students that may need it. We want to leave it conceptual at this point. We want to assess student learning and how we're doing. We'll continue to make changes," said Turell.
Foreign language requirements will essentially be based on ability to converse. Placement tests will most likely be implemented, not based on credits brought in, according to Turell and Bittel.
Turell and Bittel introduce the idea of class threads: classes that fall under a big question that can be strung together to summarize in a capstone project as an undergraduate senior.
