The part that matters most: is that Alberta has a peaceful, democratic and legal path to pursue this debate. No violence. No revolution. A vote and a legal process.

I think I’ve reached the point where I require an unreasonable amount of silence (unreasonable for others, not for me).

Not because I hate people.
I just need enough distance from everyone else’s wants, needs, opinions, notifications, dopamine loops, and general energetic jazz hands to hear my own thoughts.

This makes me feel guilty…

Which is strange, because I don’t actually believe everyone is entitled to my time.

I’m responsible for the people I’m responsible for.
I love the people I love.
I’ll help when I genuinely can.

And maybe that’s where I’ve flipped upside down…

I want less participation in the bullshit, but more participation in what actually matters.

I don’t think we can keep waiting around for technology, politicians, aliens, AI, or some conveniently scheduled miracle to rescue us from ourselves.

If being Christ-like means anything, it probably means we’re supposed to practice it now.

Not someday.
Not when it’s easy.
Not after everyone else gets their shit together first.

Now.

Take responsibility for what you can change.
Help where you can help.
Create more than you consume.
Leave things better than you found them.

Evolve, or remain on the trajectory you’re already helping create.

Both are choices.

But eventually we have to stop complaining about the destination while refusing to touch the steering wheel.
