POST 6: ITS ALL BACKWARDS
Today… Sunday …is a perfect intersection and natural evolution for POST 6…. Don’t forget to watch the video below ..
Let’s go
The fatalist thinks he’s being humble.
“I’m just accepting reality”
“I’m not deluding myself”
“I see things as they are”
No. You’ve committed the oldest sin in the book.
THE ARROGANCE
“It’s over.” “Nothing can change.” “The trajectory is set.”
Says who? You? Based on what? Your spreadsheet? Your line SQUIGGLES? Your FEELINGS? Our feelings betray us more than any aspect of human emotion.
You looked at the data and decided you know how the story ends.
That’s not humility. That’s man putting himself in God’s seat.
THE ORIGINAL SIN
One of my favorite theologians of all time … Dr Greg Bahnsen understood this. The unbeliever doesn’t reject God and believe nothing. He rejects God and makes himself the authority.
The fatalist does the same thing. He looks at history, at economics, at politics… and pronounces judgment on the future. Case closed. Verdict rendered.
But you are not the Judge. You don’t write the final chapter. You don’t know what God is doing.
The most arrogant sentence in the English language is “I know how this ends.”
THE CHRISTIAN POSITION
True humility says: I don’t know what’s possible. But I am going to give it my best. God sets the direction, but I need to row.
I don’t know who God is raising up right now. What movements are being born in obscurity. What reversals are being prepared.
I see Goliath. I don’t see the shepherd boy walking toward him.
Every empire that fell, every revival that exploded, every impossible victory… the “realists” of that moment had already written the obituary.
God loves humiliating human certainty.
THE INVERSION
The world calls the optimist arrogant.
“You think you can change things?”
The world calls the fatalist humble.
“He accepts hard truths.”
It’s All SO backwards.
The builder says: I’ll try, and God determines the outcome.
The fatalist says: I already know the outcome, so why try.
One submits to God’s sovereignty. The other replaces it with his own.
YOUR CHECK
When you say “it’s hopeless”… what you’re really saying is you’ve seen enough to render final judgment.
You haven’t.
You’re not that smart. You don’t see that far. The future is not yours to close.
That’s God’s job. Yours is to be faithful with today.
Stay humble. Stay STAY on the grind. Level up. Attack 2026 with a growth mindset.
