Thanks to @CBSNews for having me on today to discuss the Supreme Court ruling on women's sports.
Interesting that there was not one question about the girls & women who will now have fair competition in 27 states and what this does for them. Not one.
The only way the Totenberg-Alito story makes sense is that this veteran NPR legal reporter had a trusted and highly placed source inside SCOTUS who confirmed that Alito was retiring.
- No editor would publish such a story unless the reporter were reliable.
- A reliable reporter does not say 'oh I thought I heard something' without double-checking with a source to confirm. Ideally she would call Alito to confirm as well.
- But somehow Totenberg and her editors at NPR were satisfied that her sourcing was impeccable without official on the record confirmation.
- That leaves a very small list of suspects: someone close to Alito who was very confident that he was retiring.
- As people have speculated, Alito may have planted a false tale to catch out the leaker: a canary trap. Now what?
@jeremymbarr Please. Nothing haunts you people. You just lie, and then your outlet either deletes the story with no correction or does this. She should be fired, but we know NPR won’t do that. Your entire industry is a joke.
Do lots of “journalists” report on things this serious with just second hand gossip? Rhetorical question. It’s only a nightmare scenario because modern so-called journalists have no ethics, and consider each other sources that have been verified. This is just another example of how they killed their own profession, why MSM is a laughing stock, and why NPR should have been defunded decades ago.
Most reporters don’t face this “nightmare situation,” because they aren’t dumb enough to report a massive bombshell like that based on second-hand, unverified information like Totenberg did.
A 15 term incumbent in Colorado, Diana Degette, has lost the Democrat primary to a 29 year old socialist, Melat Kiros. That’s four incumbents losing primaries to socialists in a week. Every state now has a Mamdani, the Democrat party is on a rapid descent to communism.
Nina Totenberg is a partisan hack masquerading as a neutral journalist. That she made such a profound error - targeting a conservative justice, no less - is entirely predictable.
The media phalanx you folks have erected around her in response is similarly unsurprising.
The next step for her is to write a book about how dumb it was for her to make this mistake. Similar to the book @jaketapper and @AlexThomp "wrote" in which they expected us to believe that they were just too dumb to notice biden's brain was oatmeal for his entire term. Something that even normie's noticed as far back as 2020.
Birthright citizenship means A LOT of people are living abroad, as US citizens, and almost certainly not filing their legally required tax returns with the IRS
If we can’t stop birthright citizenship, we can make sure they’re getting harassed by the IRS like real Americans
Besides all the other stuff, why are so many immigrants running for political office?
“Hi. I’m new to your country and let me tell you how it should be run.” I wouldn’t be so presumptuous as to run for the national legislature of a place I just moved to.
And they would be stupid to vote for me.
I hadn’t seen this. Apparently it’s real. Kentanji Jackson really put “wait for it” in a legal opinion. I believe this is the same opinion where she dropped “full stop.” We are just months away from Jackson using “lmao” and a laughing face emoji in an official legal document.
“Freddy” from Germany went viral on 𝕏 for sharing his experiences traveling the World Cup.
He has been getting love from all corners of the internet until Reddit doxxed him and discovered he opposed racism against white people.
He has since faced attacks from the left wing mob, forcing him to delete his account.
These people ruin everything.
Saying "DOGE cuts to foreign aid are bad and here's why" is normal discourse.
Saying "Elon Musk is directly and personally responsible for the deaths of innocents" is incitement of terrorism.
