He died.
Are we EVER going to have an honest conversation about what's going on in this city/province/country?
Tweets from the powerful expressing "thoughts and prayers" and "this is not who we are" and other pablum is all we get?
ANOTHER officer killed in the line of duty. In one week.
In a sane world, this leads to MASSIVE change.

"Pinner" the officer murdered today ( I call it out for what it is, not a loss, or a passing, it was murder, so should every politician) was loved respected and a leader, why, look no further than the amazing mother who raised 3 all star sons, and had this one taken from her. Read/share for the moms. https://t.co/Y8MehbzuoD

For a second day, we lined the route to the Office of the Chief Coroner in honour of sacrifice and service to our community by a police officer trying to make their community safer. Today, we saluted our own Emergency Task Force Constable Marc Pinizzotto who was taken from us far too early.
Today, we mourn the loss of Constable Marc Pinizzotto.
“No words can capture the impact on Marc’s family, who expected him to come home today. We as a Service will support them and each other,” Chief Myron Demkiw said. “This loss will have a profound impact on the Toronto Police Family. Our Service, our members, and all members of the larger policing family are deeply saddened.”

Toronto Police Chief Myron Demkiw says a search warrant that led to the death of Const. Marc Pinizzotto was connected to an investigation into multiple shootings, including the March 2026 attack on the U.S. Consulate in Toronto.
Last month, the FBI arrested Mohammad Baqer Saad Dawood Al-Saadi, who U.S. authorities have identified as a senior member of Kata'ib Hizballah and an operative of Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC).
According to U.S. court documents, Al-Saadi claimed responsibility for multiple attacks in Canada, including the shooting at the U.S. Consulate in Toronto.
Toronto police are also searching for a second suspect, identified as 19-year-old Zara Jabbi.
🚨 SOMETHING HISTORIC MAY BE HAPPENING
Footage from Dublin shows protesters expressing solidarity with the people of Belfast as demonstrations continue to spread.
For generations, politicians spoke of the divisions between North and South.
Today, many are pointing to something different:
People on both sides of the border finding common cause on immigration, national identity and the future of their countries.
The old divisions may not be disappearing.
But a new unity appears to be emerging.
Unity is strength.
Nobody in Belfast consented to a mass immigration from the Third World. In fact, they voting AGAINST it for 20+ years.
Their anger is entirely understandable.
I think we just saw one of our first intentional smiles! 😍 My beautiful baby girl, there you are ❤️
It fills my heart with so much joy watching all your amazing progress. We’re slowly working on a thumbs up and thumbs down, and you’ve already mastered the high five like a pro! Another day, another beautiful milestone. I love you, Maya ❤️ forever and always
Here’s how the scam works: Consultants in India, sell the idea of, “Go to Canada, get free healthcare, we’ll find you a job, you’ll be able to then bring your parents, bring your grandparents, and you can all succeed because even if you don’t, the government will take care of you. You just have to pay us.”
The temporary for workers (TFW) family, then pools together generational savings to give to the consultant - usually $50 -75K.
That consultant then pays $30-$40K, to those business owners hiring TFWs.
So then that becomes the business model for those business owners: TFWs. Not the business itself, but the hiring of foreigners. Because that money is paid cash, making it tax-free.
Those TFW, then come here and they work 70 to 80 hours a week by force. Otherwise they get threatened that they will get fired and told they lose their temporary foreign worker status.
I’ve heard this from many victims.
The UN called it modern day slavery. They called out our TFW program.
The government even has a report by an independent third party they hired, recommending more resources for compliance because of the abuse that exists.
Ultimately, the victims are temporary foreign workers, our youth who are then displaced and unable to find work, us who have our healthcare systems choked, and those relying on food banks. Why? Because TFWs get a lower wage, get taken advantage of, and can’t afford to live, because they were sold on a lie.
It’s a shameful scam that the Liberals have allowed to flourish.
@mileysworldz@tallztin Earlier in the day Aniya told Melanie "he pulled Kayda for a chat"... Melanie then nervously repeats back - "he pulled Kayda??" She knows her name. Come on, if you think a girl is threat and your man is into her, you will remember her name.
@Hargarciaa12@theDonutShaman@mjfriends_ Adult male stranger befriending families so he can play with their children and have them over for ongoing private sleepovers. Sure, they're just sleeping. People happily sell their kids out to be linked to fame and money. It's disgusting.
@Sofia09267@theDonutShaman@mjfriends_ So you'd let your small children have ongoing private sleepovers with a 30 year old male celebrity if he says he won't do anything perverse with them? Damn, this is why grooming and child abuse runs rampant in this world. Clown-level naïveté.
@Memow2020@paulgirl861 Been out of the woodwork for decades (I've lost count of the number of victims coming forward). The family continually pays victims off. The estate tried to pay off the Cascios with $700K/annual each for 5 consecutive years. They want more. Others have settled. Trial was a joke.
@Memow2020@paulgirl861 Lots of people had tough childhoods and had to grow up too fast. But they are not, as grown men in their 30s, befriending random families in order to have ongoing private sleepovers with their children. The families, including parents, were groomed to be in denial just like you.
I cannot articulate my disgust over the fact that this horribly traumatised Canadian family cannot “qualify” for victim services, and are now bouncing between sleeping in the back of their car and couch surfing at the hospital. All while “asylum seekers” receive benefits Canadians don’t see at the best of times. Priorities!
It’s been 109 days since our world came to a sudden stop.
Since then, there have been countless surgeries, endless sleepless nights, and a long road of small steps forward mixed with a few steps back. No one was prepared for that tragic day. The panic, the confusion, and the terrifying uncertainty about our little girl’s future.
Today, I want to say how incredibly proud I am of you, my Maya Bear. Your fire and strength are what keep me going every single day. You are an inspiration to so many, but you’re my hero most of all.
People often tell Cia and I how strong we seem and how well we’re holding it together. The truth is, I’m still broken, depressed, and exhausted. There are days when a simple memory of you pops up on my phone and the tears stream down my face. But when I see how strong and resilient you are, I know I have to be strong for you too.
We’re making slow but steady progress. Some days are better than others, but we’re moving forward together. We’ve been enjoying walks outside, taking in the fresh air and watching the animals scurrying around. In therapy, you’ve been working hard! standing with support, engaging your core more, holding your head up a little longer, and even sitting on the edge of the bed with minimal help. You’ve also started showing signs of swallowing liquids again (orange Gatorade is still your favorite, of course). Your hockey tournament drink of choice!
We’re seeing more engagement when we ask you to do things too. It’s a long road ahead, but we’re ready for the journey however long it takes.
I love you so much, my Maya Bear ❤️. Daddy’s right here with you.
