From 1st July 2026, bottled water manufactured or imported in Kenya will no longer be subject to excise duty and will not require excise stamps.

Manufacturers are reminded to file their June 2026 Excise Duty Returns and pay taxes due by 20th July 2026.

Hello Primedigital, Please file an amended return by logging in to iTax> Go to Returns> Select the file Amended Return option> Select your obligation and period for which you are amending> Download the excel sheet and fill it in appropriately, ensuring you select the Type of Return as Amended in the basic info section> Validate> Upload the generated zip folder in the ‘Upload Document’ section > Upload the documents used to file your returns (P9 form, insurance and exemption certificates etc) in the ‘Upload Document for Downward amendment’ section >Submit. ^EG
