I am not a racist. I am against every form of racism and segregation, every form of discrimination. I believe in human beings, and that all human beings should be respected as such, regardless of their color.”
Malcolm X
A man can be in the worst position and all he will say is “I’ll take care of it”
He might be flat broke with no hope, but that’s what he will say.
And might get grumpy but somehow he always finds a way.
Respect to all the real men out there that do the impossible daily.
@KensingtonRoyal Your grandmother is irreplaceable. Decades never a misplaced step. The exemplar of how to live & serve. As a bi racial person despite the challenges & disappointments I experienced Queen Elizabeth Il was a constant reminder of how to rise above it all & focus on service.
My thoughts are with the Queen’s family as they come to terms with their personal loss, as well as those here and around the world who will mourn her death.
I enjoyed discussing our families, gardens and jam-making with her.
May she rest in peace.
Among the few countries Queen Elizabeth never visited is Israel. But in 1984 she toured the Jordan Valley w/ Crown Prince Hassan. "How depressing!" she reportedly uttered at a map of Israeli settlements he showed her just as the thunder of Israeli fighter jets rattled the skies.
@moorehn Speak up. That has no credibility. None. A lot of these people are motivated by more selfish reasons than colonialism, genocide and imperial harm.
Today is a day when you see that some of the most revered people in black history Mandela, Malcolm X, Ali, Martin Luther King taught them nothing about being human and truly free!
There’s a difference between honouring a human & respecting example & character traits secretly we want to emulate. You can separate misery, murder centuries of injustice and institutions of avarice & cowardice from the person when you don’t you’re no better than that you hate.
"I have in sincerity pledged myself to your service, as so many of you are pledged to mine. Throughout all my life and with all my heart I shall strive to be worthy of your trust."
- Queen Elizabeth II on her Coronation Day, June 2, 1953
Responsibility. Duty. Service Simple to write. Extremely hard to deliver every day of 70 years and 214 days. Think About That Just That. #QueenElizabeth
“When life seems hard, the courageous do not lie down and accept defeat; instead, they are all the more determined to struggle for a better future.” — Queen Elizabeth II
May she Rest In Peace 🇬🇧🕊
@RoyalFamily A better mother no man or king could have wished for. My deepest and most sincere condolences. The Queen we will always hold in our hearts. God Bless the King.
