As I announced today major changes are coming for Mark Lane downtown. Your municipality is committed to transforming our city and yes, the projects are many but together we can.

Provisions have been made for the vendors who will be returning to include cutting boards, aprons and other equipment.

The haphazard manner in which they operated before has been put to rest. I have given clear instructions to the municipal police re the enforcement of standards at Crab Circle.

That is how strongly I feel about it. I can assure you I WILL be there for the reopening on Nov 23.

The demolition of a building at the corner of Church and Tower Street which was damaged during the Earthquake on Monday has been executed by the @ksamcorp.

The @ksamcorp continues to work alongside HEART Trust NTA in retraining and certifying vendors across the city. Many of these women, are breadwinners for their families. Encouraging to see their efforts in becoming trained and certified.

Following the closure of the area known as Crab Circle by the Kingston & St Andrew Public Health Department, a wash-down and sanitizing of the space has been ordered. The space remains closed for vending.
