5. All of our patients, every. Single. One. Of. Then. Deserve equal care. No one is superior in this pandemic. So keep your opinions to yourself and do your damn job. End rant 🙃
4. Our job is to provide above and beyond care and not ask questions. Just like we do with drug addicts who come in 5 times a year with sepsis from shooting up. Or prisoners who have killed people and need medical treatment.
3. Yes most hospitalized patients are unvaccinated. Yes the vaccine is very helpful in decreasing mortality rates. BUT that gives us no right to deny care/give any less of care to someone who chose not to be vaccinated vs someone who did
2. Let’s get one thing straight. As nurses, we vow to take care of every single patient no matter what their illness or background is. Unvaccinated and vaccinated patients deserve the SAME care and attention. Yes COVID is an awful disease. Yes it’s killing so many people.
Alright it’s time for a little thread rant:
1. NOTHING and I mean nothing makes my blood boil more than when I hear nurses say the unvaccinated COVID patients deserve this and don’t need to be hospitalized etc because they chose not to get the vaccine
We mourn the devastating loss of Knoxville native and Gibbs High School graduate Ryan Knauss, who was one of the 13 U.S. service members killed in the Kabul airport attack. We wish for comfort for his family and friends. May his service, sacrifice and courage never be forgotten.
