Fable looks like my perfect game but I hope the crime system isn't as basic as it appeared to be in today's demo.
Endlessly spawning guards to force players to die, leave town or pay a fine over crimes feels quite uncreative and restrictive for an RPG with a full life-sim system
I see some calls for Xbox to pull away from Steam. If they open things up so that Xbox PC purchases can be added to Steam as non-Steam games then I’m personally fine with that. However I think most Steam users might just skip Xbox games then based on previous Epic exclusivity.
There has been a lot of chatter about Xbox Helix
Most, and I mean like 95%, genuinely don't believe it will be as good as a $2500 gaming PC today, but IT WILL be AND ~$1200!
What we need to hear is concrete information on how "open" the PC playing part will be
In general I think this is a good idea, especially if Helix is to be essentially a PC with multiple storefronts. People with the lower spec machine can make adjustments in the settings to dial things in how they want if they can’t afford the higher spec hardware.
Sounds like Xbox is thinking of a range of hardware products (cheaper S model + high-end model?)
"I think that we will continue to look at new business models is what is needed for console, rather than just the most premium high-performance console in the world."
@NextGenPlayer Never understood this argument. How are you "locked in" because of your digital library?
Your library is still gonna work on the console you already own, no matter which one you buy next.
Giving up your power to vote with your wallet because of brand loyalty is a bad idea.
Got in, went to apply the emblem, got weasel error, and now nonstop server not available message.
This is a success I think. Can’t even check the SteamDB charts right now either.
I’m hoping for at minimum a queue today and some great numbers. Something that our late Commander Zavala, Lance Reddick, would be proud of.
Hold the line Guardians! Hold it so that no matter your class of choice the Commander would say that you held it like a Titan!
#Destiny2
To the Destiny 2 community,
Thank you.
As artists, our goal has always been to create worlds filled with wonder, mystery, beauty, and adventure. But what brings those worlds to life is you. You take our designs, our napkin sketches, our "wouldn't it be cool if..." ideas and transform them into something real. Your creativity, your passion, and your love for the game give our work purpose.
We've always believed Destiny could be a place where expression is celebrated, where players can see themselves and each other in the worlds we build, where every Guardian can forge their own legend—and you proved it.
Watching your Guardians grow, embrace new allies, take down bigger and badder bosses, solve mind-bending puzzles, dodge death traps, avoid Taken boopers, and overcome every Raid challenge we throw at you—all while looking incredible—has been a constant reminder of why this universe matters.
You shaped it. You made it matter. You are the light of Destiny.
With Monument of Triumph, we set out to create a series of love letters to Guardians, new and old. We shared a preview last week of armor inspired by early designs from the original Destiny but have also sprinkled some winks and nods throughout the rewards releasing tomorrow. We hope they feel like a small thank you for everything you’ve given us.
From all of us on the Destiny 2 art team, thank you for supporting us, inspiring us, and continuing to bring this world to life in ways we could never have imagined. You give our art meaning.
With gratitude,
The Destiny 2 Art Team
Oof that’s really tough between the anniversary Series X and Steam Machine. I’d love to switch my wife to the PC library but would love that Series X for collectible reasons. Tough choice between those two.
According to Xbox Chief Strategy Officer Matthew Ball, Xbox Game Pass lost millions of subscribers within a few months of Microsoft’s 50% price increase in October 2025.
The increase pushed the price of Game Pass Ultimate from $19.99 to $29.99 per month and got heavy backlash from players.
Listen, I’m excited to play Destiny 2 tomorrow…
But I think I’d rather the servers completely crash from the insane flood of people trying to login.
Would you rather be able to play all day? Or would you rather we completely kill the servers?
Nintendo Direct is set for tomorrow, June 9, 2026 at 7 AM PT.
According to rumors, major Pokémon Pokopia DLC could be revealed during this week’s Nintendo Direct, with a release reportedly planned for fall.
I’m about halfway through this campaign after returning to Destiny last week and I’ve never enjoyed a campaign less than this. I figured I’d be done both Edge of Fate and Renegades by the update but Edge of Fate has been such a drag that I’ve played less than expected.
I am ready to destroy the Destiny 2 servers with the community on Tuesday.
For the first time in the franchise history, really for any game launch, I hope I can't get in, that their is a queue, that the the servers beg for mercy.
See you on June 9th for Monument of Triumph.
