@Wims_MP@CameronDole Texas Tech doesn't give a shit about Brendan Sorsby's "addiction." They only care about the money they spent on him. If this was a backup linebacker, then he would've been kicked to the curb without a second thought.
@TXLbertarian@secnumbersguy I mean, honestly, what's the point of having rules and laws if you can just claim a mental illness and get out of any consequences
@TXLbertarian@secnumbersguy rules, but people have gone to jail for this exact thing. I'm all for second chances, but you must face the consequences of your actions before you deserve a second chance. If nobody ever faced any consequences, then nobody would be deterred from breaking the rules
@TXLbertarian@secnumbersguy Tech does not give a shit about Sorsby's mental health. They only care about their best players playing. If this was a backup linebacker, then he would've been kicked off the team without a second thought. Sorsby placed bets on his own team, which is not only a violation of NCAA
@_slimeylildude1@CFBKnights Not saying he doesn't, but using an addiction problem as a reason to avoid any consequences is a complete slap in the face to people who actually do need help. Tech doesn't give a shit about Sorsby's addiction. They only care about their best players playing.
@Otto342@CFBKnights If Texas Tech cares so much about Sorsby's addiction, then please explain to me how playing football and being mocked every week will be more helpful to Brendan Sorsby's gambling addiction than Texas Tech simply keeping him on the team so he can get support but not playing him
@Otto342@CFBKnights So let's let him play in front of thousands of people who will all be making fun of his gambling issues. I'm sure that's the best possible option for helping him.
@JeremyTTUsports@jasonscheer That's exactly what we're saying. His school is still completely paid for, and the team can still help him with his gambling problem.
Brendan Sorsby's injunction has set a terrible new precedent for college athletics. Rules don't apply to the top dogs anymore. If you're good enough, you can do whatever you want. College football died today.
@EMAWCaleb The lights aren't something that'll make their money back in one season. It's something that makes its money back over time. I don't understand the hate on these lights, I am actually excited that our night game atmosphere will be much better. It's been needing an upgrade.
