This morning I had the privilege to attend a workshop at the AMNH about inspiring curiosity and investigative thinking through the use of science collections! It was an awesome experience, and I can’t wait to introduce my students to collections!

We have spent the last two days at the Gulf Coast Conference on the Teaching of Writing! So far, we have learned about AI’s impact on writing, heard inspiration from Charles Walker, and learned more about poem-sketching! Looking forward to our closing key-note speaker tomorrow!

I love the enthusiasm generated by summer learning. Imagine this approach to teaching being transferred to the academic year. Authentic learning and student engagement will be enhanced and discipline referrals will decrease. Students will be excited about school. Great job all!

Last Monday, we had our Ocean Fluency Day! Ss practiced for upcoming reading and math testing! They played games including racing Ozobot, sorting HFWs, Race to Zero, and other fluency centers! Thankful for all the wonderful people who make these days a reality! #AmazingtotheCore
