So awesome to receive the Salem-Keizer Beacons girls basketball athlete of the year award from @KT_Mac10 I have always looked up to her and this was an awesome experience!
Not many coaches in Oregon had the privilege of coaching two players in high school who played in the Division 1 Final 4s for WBB. I feel blessed to have coached Evina Westbrook, who played against Stanford and Katie McWilliams who competed against Brianna Stewart and UCONN.
Had a great time seeing OSU WBB sweep the LA schools this weekend and honoring the alumni players as well! Katie provided 2nd quarter radio commentary with the legendary Ron Callan.
Happy Thanksgiving from the McWilliams family! We watched our two older daughters and their husbands run races in Salem, and spent the rest of the day eating and hanging with family. Lindsay’s husband Otto won the 15K.
Happy 25th birthday to our youngest Katie! Wonderful daughter, sister, aunt, coach, girlfriend, athlete and medical worker. She does it all! Love you so much!
So excited to reunite with this group at Salem Hoopla today. These three put South Salem girls basketball on the map with 2 state championships, plus a 3rd and 4th place, 100 wins, 58 straight league wins. All 3 went on to strong D1 careers. Congrats E,Katie and Jordan.
I had a great time today watching Katie coaching with my friend and former assistant Marc Burleson as Central visited South Salem where Katie played and I coached. There were many memories of great times and great teams and players.
Happy 24th birthday to our youngest, Katie! She is such a talented, caring and godly woman. She has been a professional athlete, physical therapy aide and basketball trainer. Love you Katers!❤️❤️
