I've watched a ton of Youtube videos of people showcasing math/science lessons they've created, so my next step would be to go follow some of them, they're great! Maybe starting with @/misterwootube, after I saw his video! (Great watch if you haven't seen it!) (2/2)

A6:
I don't know if they count as Teacher Twitter, but people like @/vihartvihart, @/3blue1brown, @/numberphile, @/tomscott, and such are really great to take inspiration from, or just learn something from! (1/2)

Q6: Who do you recommend following on #TeacherTwitter? If you are new to Teacher Twitter, share the types of teachers or content you might be interested in finding on Twitter.
Remember to use A6 in your answer and the hashtag #tch380chat!
A5:
Try to be active with what I do. Do I really want to mindlessly scroll through my timeline? If I see that I'm following someone who constantly annoys me, do I keep following? If I see someone saying something I disagree with, do I debate? (1/2)

A4:
Finding the balance between being professional, while still showing who you really are seems to be kind of tricky!
Also getting out of your comfort zone, if you are shy. I definitely think that can/will be rough!

@Matt_Halpern Even outside of PLN's that's a big issue with social media as a whole! The fear of missing out has been so engrained within social media spaces that people often subject themselves to things that are just hurting more than helping, because they feel like they *need* to.
@alxandrahvilla Some of my most valued relationships are with people I've yet to meet in person. Just having an internet connection and a shared bond over something is all it takes to make great friends!
A3: The biggest thing benefit I can think of would be finding new inspiration to take from! I think the worst thing a teacher could do would be to stagnate/stick with what they've always done. You never know what you might be missing from your lessons until you see something new!
Q3: What do you see as the benefits of using social media to build a PLN? A PLN is a professional learning community.

@MsTejada22 I'd suggest finding people within your field and that you find interesting! For example, I love watching fun/interesting math lessons or videos on YouTube, and following those people would be a great start!
A2:
It depends on the site! I've gotten more seriously recently about using Twitter, for example, more! I want to get over the silly fear of posting something and having people see it lol
Especially because it's common with the club I help run and eSports in general.

Q2: What is your current level of experience with using social media? This can either pertain to #TeacherTwitter or in general!

A1:
Heya! My name is Kate/Katie/Katherine (whatever works!) and I'm studying to be a high school math teacher!
My favorite way to eat potatoes would be Waffle Fries! Hash browns are a close second, but honestly I'm not a huge fan of Mashed Potatoes...
