Was proud to graduate with my fellow newly qualified Speech and Language Therapists @UCL_MScSLS last month! 👩🎓
I’ve really enjoyed my first six months working as a Speech and Language Therapist, first at @GreenwichSLT and now at @acrt_homerton in community neuro rehab 🧠 🚲
Congratulations to all our graduates, 62 newly minted speech & language therapists #SLT awarded their Masters degrees! 🥳👏👏 We wish you every success, you are the future of the profession - can't wait to see what u achieve! @KateShobbrook@GrasslyJen@JanetC_slt@DrLucyPepper
Tomorrow's the day: queueing at stations, wondering if there's enough time to vote during your lunch break, and - if you stammer, wondering about how much speaking to polling staff the process might involve.

Final post of the day! Next week is our last day on placement. We have spent time today reflecting on our time here. It's been such a valuable experience and we are really going to miss being part of the team. ☺️💐
Hello! UCL SLT students Megan and Katie here! Today we’re taking over the BHRUT SLT Twitter, sharing what we get up to on placement today! We are on the neurosurgery and neurosciences wards today 🧠
We're so lucky to have some amazing research happening right under our noses at @UCL_MScSLS. Today we had a thought-provoking lecture from @BCAphasia on how to involve People with Aphasia and their Communication Partners in Communication Partner Training! #slt2b#mysltday 🧠🗣️
Really enjoying my 4th placement so far on the neuro wards in Queen’s Hospital! Carried out my first Brisbane ax along with my placement partner this week and have observed lots of interesting sessions, many of them multi-disciplinary! 🧠🧠🧠
Finished my first Acquired placement yesterday and it was just the best experience!! The only thing that would have made it better would have been if it was more than just 2 weeks! Definitely feeling attracted to Acquired SLT work in acute settings…
It’s only Day 3 of my first Acquired placement and I’ve learned so much! Today I sat in on a VF clinic which was so interesting! Excited to observe some FEES procedures tomorrow 😊
Yesterday we had possibly my favourite lecture so far where we were visited by experts by experience in brain injury, PPA, and Parkinson’s; including some members of @HeadwayELondon ! Am now feeling super excited for our year of learning about acquired communication diffs 😊
Just attended a talk by @georgetteharr hosted by @st_links all about an SLT’s role in awake craniotomies! Freshly enthused about SLT once again just in time for exams 😊
Can’t believe first placement is already over! Working in mainstream schools has been a great experience, and I’ve learned so much in just a few months! 😊
