Day 100. My thesis proposal was accepted. I had my Easter holidays. And now I am ready to work through April, which is a bit overbooked for me. This #100DaysOfPhD challenge helped me to post more, so hopefully I will keep doing that.
@Nathan_DHT_EdD Try iNaturalist - it gives suggestions based on time, location, and photo. Then, two other people can confirm scientific names of each species
@Nathan_DHT_EdD @AndrewesTanya The idea was to actually start tweeting, even about mundane things. I don’t tweet every day, but I am feeling more comfortable every time I do it thanks to the challenge
Days 75-78. My abstract was accepted! It will be my first conference. Super excited, but nervous. What was your first presentation experience at conferences? #100DaysOfPhD
Days 68-74 (including #iwd ). Hectic but fulfilling days. Received feedback for the thesis proposal, continue working on climate project. Joined the student union and ready to help with upcoming symposium. #100DaysOfPhD
Last week I attended a guest lecture on statistics, which I really enjoyed. Today I realized I am citing one of the articles of this researcher in my Methods section… I am just shocked by the opportunities the university offers. Day 67. #100DaysOfPhD
Days 59-65. The classes have started. I joined the university choir🎶. Communicated with librarians about refining the search strategy for a scoping review. Drafted Intro and Methods sections for an observational study. #100DaysOfPhD
Days 54-58. Finished data extraction for one systematic review. Submitted workshop proposal for the conference. Started defining variables for the common data model of the multicenter study. #100DaysOfPhD
Days 45-53. Had a bit of low energy levels. Learned about academic career paths from the university career coaching group. Had a reciprocal feedback session with my professor (something quite new for me). Asked my peers about their experiences at conferences #100DaysOfPhD
