Did not watch the game but did see the highlights. Pretty encouraging for USA to get all those chances they did vs Germany and control play like they did when it was 1-1 for so long. But they didn't have that scoring touch in tight spots. Germans had such class on their touches.
Tom Brady shares what he tells every college athlete he meets and it's not what they expect.
"I hope this experience is hard for you. I hope it's not easy."
"I hope today in this game you're losing in the 4th quarter and you look at each other in the eye and try to figure out solutions to how you're gonna win the game."
"That's how you're gonna find out what you're made of."
You find out who you are when you are challenged. Expect adversity. Expect tough moments.
"Life is hard. The challenges of life are hard."
"This program is hard. It's built on toughness. It's built on resilience. And that's what I wanna see from this team."
You can't wish for easy or hope for easy.
Adversity is a gift if you let it be.

I don't know if there is anything more popular in the USA than the NFL. The thing that drives people's behaviors, yearly calendars, plans, how they spend their time & money. That being said, a team is leaving its state. The most popular thing is leaving. Think about that.
Started with a dream. Backed it up with the work. Now @coral_prosser24 is officially one of the Top 100 players in the country. 🇺🇸🏀
Congratulations to Coral on being named to the @espnW Top 100.
The accolades keep coming, but the mission stays the same.
Keep working. Keep leading. Keep proving them right.

Brady Oakes fired a no-hitter to lead defending champ Indiana to a 10-0 win over Hopewell in today's PIAA Class 4A ⚾️ quarterfinals. It's been a remarkable run by Indiana pitchers this postseason. In five games, the Indians have not given up a run & only five hits in 32 innings‼️
This Indiana left-hander Brady Oakes throws a no-hitter in PIAA 4A quarterfinals.
Oakes strikes out 10 as Indiana blanks Hopewell 10-0 in six innings to continue a historical postseason run. Indiana hasn’t allowed a run in five postseason games (WPIAL and PIAA).
It really seems like the Steelers are picking who they want to have around for the coming years of the McCarthy era. Age and tenure right now in 2026 being the most important factor of who's there going forward. beyond what might be the immediate couple years.
It really seems more of the above mentioned than an organization that is centered around creating a winning football situation. They have really succeeded in the above. I thought many times it seemed like Tomlin was running a charity or an alumni organization.
Since around the time Cowher retired, the main thing the Steelers have been, save for SB43, has been sort of a brand where you pass through as a player, you make the money you can and then from being part of the brand, it sets you up hopefully for that second career.
ESPN has named Berlin Brothersvalley's Coral Prosser one of the top 100 players nationally (#87) in the 2027 class. She has more than 40 offers. I recently wrote about how she and her family have put tiny Berlin on the basketball map. 🏀@coral_prosser24 https://t.co/Oh0Wj3qfE6
Today we caught up with the @savsteelupshot and their guard Megan McConnell who called her transition to Savannah a breath of fresh air after being cut earlier in May.

If you're not ahead on the scoreboard, if you're not consistently moving the chains whether by pass or rush, if you are not winning first and second down often enough on D, if you're not stopping the run, this idea is a specialization that doesn't come up often enough.
Pittsburgh’s Three-Headed Monster...
💰 T.J. Watt — 3 years, $123M
💰 Nick Herbig — 4 years, $100M
💰 Alex Highsmith — 4 years, $68M
That’s $291 million invested in one of the most dangerous pass-rushing trios in football..... 🤯

Notre Dame sophomore and Oakmont member Rocco Salvitti eagled the first playoff hole to beat Darin Kowalski and win the Horizons Tri-State Open at Southpointe GC. Salvitti and Kowalski finished 36 holes tied at 4-under 140.
From what I can see, the career stats of Herbig are that he gets in on less than 2 combined tackles per game (1.75 avg) and only about 1 solo tackle a game (53 career solos). And that he gets a sack about once every 3 games (16 career sacks in 45 G).
Do they not get the concept of amassing a lot of good players and trying to pay them as little as possible for as long as you can? It's like they want to place that "highest paid defense" pretend trophy next to the other made up trophy of winning seasons.
The same energy as to why Watt and Heyward love the Steelers is the same energy that Herbig loves the Steelers. You can get your money and not have to win anything. No glory, no accomplishments except in your bank account. Hey if you can get it and they will give it to you.
Meanwhile, in front of all your fans on a Monday night playoff game with them screaming for finally a postseason win, I watched as Houston had so many young and athletic and probably way lower paid defensive guys flying and tackling everywhere, for example.
