THREAD: Air Accidents Investigation Branch (AAIB) release final report into #EmilianoSala plane crash: Footballer was “deeply unconscious” when Pilot David Ibbotson tried to pull up plane – he shouldn’t have been flying - before crashing into Channel 21/01/19 (1/10)
@tfwrail when is the next train due for Penarth/Dingle Rd —> Cardiff Central please? Boards saying ‘cancelled’ app saying ‘delayed’ and service updates are out of date.
@tfwrail One has now turned up. Your live tracker (trains on a map) was showing trains as running when they weren’t so it needs to be linked to real time data. It’s always a dilemma whether to hang on and hope one turns up or go back for the car.
@Paul_Mulgrew Thanks so much Paul, even 5 years on, it still seems inconceivable that this ever happened doesn’t it? Did you see that Air Crash Investigation featured the case recently?
@SHkingofswing@PhilRichards82@StoolFootball Thanks Phil and Steve for listening, we really appreciate that ❤️ We poured so much into the pod to bring listeners all the detail. Last week it picked up an international sports award for best audio so it’s really great that Emiliano’s story is still getting out there.
@ai_andyc You made it such fun Andy! So, so much respect for the work you guys do 🙌🏻 @WPalmer_Photo @jwsportsphoto @oliscarff Oh, and I’m planning a permanent move to Seoul. Bill’s in for the BBQ night - all that food and a robot waiter - £13💥 🤖 🫶🏻
@BBCColin Yes! Journalism in action (not that it should ever have come to this). The podcast is incredible Colin, probing and sensitively told. I really hope this re-examination brings the family the answers they’ve searched so long for.
Incredible 48 hours in Seoul. Over the moon that Transfer: The Emiliano Sala Story has been recognised on such a prestigious international stage. So inspiring to see such incredible sports stories from across the globe #AIPSAwards
