First Bank Customer Chooses Jail Over Refunding N1.5 Billion Mistakenly Credited To His Account

A First Bank customer, Ojo Eghosa Kingsley, has been convicted and sentenced to one year in prison (or a fine of N5 million) for refusing to refund the N1.5 billion mistakenly credited to his account. He reportedly told the court that he preferred jail time over paying back the remaining balance.
