@myownfriend @Schrodingersba4 @KejnPatrik Zack, for one. Though I admit this is a different conversation if we’re talking OG vs compilation (excluding the Retrilogy). Crisis Core shows the SOLDIERs being bonkers. OG Zack is much more human.

A lot of these OG vs Remake issues stem from compilation power creep.

A cute bartender, a pilot, and a stuffed toy are keeping up with this supposed super soldier. Because it’s an RPG with an RPG party of balanced characters. Most of us ignore some of the video-gamey plot quirks because we understand game logic.

@KejnPatrik @Schrodingersba4 I’m pretty sure if you remove Cloud from the party, the rest of the party would have died by now. It’s a video game with video game quirks and limitations, but I’d think it’s fairly obvious from a story perspective that flawed or not, Cloud is a powerful player in all of this.

I didn’t follow Charlie & the few times I saw his stuff I was turned off by it.

But watching clips of his little girl run to his arms after I’d made the mistake of watching the close up raw footage of the shooting… felt sick to my stomach since.

But I also get annoyed at the spinning, like what’s in the headline here.

I personally haven’t seen many people trying to cancel those that “criticize” Charlie. I’m mostly seeing people try to cancel those that gleefully celebrate his murder.

Even so, I’m in the rare camp that enjoyed Remake more than Rebirth too.
