Here are the base prices for the pulse crops for 2024 for the MPCI Insurance. Lentils are the big winner this year. I'm pretty sure $.37 is the highest base price we have ever had on that crop. @cropinsurance

You know what 99 degrees and 9% humidity are good for? Either starting a field fire with the combine or grilling steaks and drinking an Arnold Palmer. Life experience has taught us to choose to go the grilling route π

These deer and antelope have been grazing this cover crop all winter. While we are losing forage for the cattle they are adding more diversity to the farm and are just another part of bringing this landscape back to life π
We were putting up some fence around cover crop today and Cody decided to play in the snow π It is awesome how having young people involved in everyday tasks in agriculture forces us to slow down a bit and enjoy the work we are doing π
