Younger UConn fans may not understand. In the 1990s, when UConn was “the best program not to make a Final Four” the 1990 East Regional was a devil. A ghost that followed all. The worst memory imaginable.

@Kschu_10 @UConnHuskyAD I think the issue is that it is hard to predict when the section won’t be full. I thought attendance in that section has been fine for the Gampel games I’ve been to the past two years. Much better than 2016-2020. Hopefully this was a one-time issue.

@UConnHuskyAD It seems like it would be reasonable to send out an email blast to students if new tickets became available the day of the game. Also, student attendance has still been better than in the late 2010s. I hate to see fans turn on each other like this.

@UConnHuskyAD Student reselling to the public, or charging other students for tickets that are supposed to be free are legitimate concerns. Is there a way for students to give tickets back to the school if they can’t use them, so then the school can make them available to other students?

@Kschu_10 @UConnHuskyAD In the school’s defense, I believe they did this for the Marquette game because it was over break. Maybe even for DePaul in Hartford as well. I don’t think it’s been an issue for most Gampel games.
