Mwache Dam PM @EngSaoalima, chaired a monthly security meeting at the Mwache Dam Project boardroom, bringing together stakeholders to deliberate on security matters affecting the project and its surrounding areas.

Members of the Mwadudua WRUA, located upstream of the Mwache River, are actively constructing terraces as part of ongoing efforts to conserve and protect the Mwache catchment.

Mwache Main Dam, has reached 83% construction progress, with works continuing steadily.
The project remains a key investment towards enhancing water security in Mombasa and Kwale County.
𝐌𝐰𝐚𝐜𝐡𝐞 𝐂𝐚𝐭𝐜𝐡𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐌𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 efforts under the Mwache Dam Project are tackling soil erosion through tree planting terracing, and vetiver grass.
These measures reduce runoff and trap silt, protecting the dam’s capacity for long-term water supply.
