Happy Derby from the Gentry family. Enjoy this special day. We are hosting many. Show them how great Louisville is. Be safe, be gracious, and be lucky!
I’m the least political Rep in the House and now you’re attacking me with lies. Sad. I was there. Even explained my “no vote,” due to process. You should try helping people instead of constantly ripping them w false narratives & lies. This behavior is ripping our country apart.
.@KyDems Lisa Willner and Rachel Roarx voted no on HB1. Al Gentry didn’t even bother to show up.
All three stood against tax credits for Kentucky families and more education funding for low income kids in their districts.
@winstonbenson@Jackpotkimm Completely understand. I know Del Mar & NYRA have tried some things, and fixed odds wagering is being discussed in many areas as well. Not sure what the best answers are yet, other than a system that isn’t completely destructive to any party, especially the everyday player.
@Jackpotkimm Agreed. We must be able to do what we can to protect the backbone of the industry - the fans & everyday players. I don’t pretend to know the answers, but we need to try to do something before it’s simply too late.
Great announcement for Red Mile, Ky Harness Racing, and Lexington. I’ve always said if we truly want to reduce the overall tax burden on all Kentuckians, then we continue to advance policy that attracts non-residents and their discretionary spending to our state.
The biggest problem in our nation’s Cannibas industry is. by far, the erroneous way it is scheduled at the federal level. I strongly support the letter by @GovAndyBeshear. It’s past time to correct this egregious action that prohibits so many from receiving the relief they seek!
Gov. Andy Beshear sent a letter to President Donald Trump this week asking the President to oppose congressional appropriations language that would block the DEA from rescheduling marijuana under the Controlled Substances Act.

Proud to host the 25th Annual Championship last week. We’ve been fortunate to save & inspire thousands of lives over the years by putting people w disabilities on a pathway to self-sustainability. Thanks to KET for covering these great athletes!
State Rep. @KYAlGentry lost an arm to a workplace accident, but that hasn't stopped him from playing golf. He even co-founded the North American One-Armed Golfer Association, which advocates for what's known as adaptive golf. https://t.co/fCkpMgFl6d
Happy Derby Week Kentucky! This is the week Louisville comes together and shows off our great city. May your week be blessed with love, pride, camaraderie, and, of course, winning! Shine brightly Louisville, and be a difference maker to your neighbors & guests!!
Please tell me this - if Pres Trump’s tariff war is all about getting Americans to “buy American-made goods,” then why doesn’t he start w himself, instead of profiting on a huge merchandising empire of products made in Asia? I like leaders who lead by example.
We absolutely cannot relinquish our state right to apply state-specific workplace safety standards where federal standards are absent or insufficient. HB398 just passed the House & will unfortunately do just that. https://t.co/DFWhFFpZTH
Today the Ky House may attempt to pass HB398, another anti-worker bill that further strips away more workplace safety standards. If it passes, this will be the 34th time an anti-worker bill has cleared the House since this Republican Majority took control in 2017. This MUST STOP!
TUNE IN - Caucus Chair @KYAlGentry will be among the legislative leaders appearing on "KY Tonight" this evening to discuss the #KYGA25 Session. Issues will range from the state's response to devastating storms to the potential ending of hybrid work schedules for state employees.
Great win for the Cards today, especially considering the team has been battling illness this week. They proved their dominance in the 1st half, and showed resilience & toughness, despite being less than 100, down the stretch. Classic “Never Quit” performance!
