@JakeSucky Slop…they are trying to combine all these movement aspects and gunplays from different styles of games and it just doesn’t do it right in any way. Cool you can fly around with zero recoil guns…COD did that shit 10 yrs ago.
@Simonistired@IGN Zero chance, D2 was still beating marathon before they even announced this was the curtain call. Marathon will be under 5k players for its lifetime no matter the updates or changes….
@IGN Sony is tanking D2, drawing out all this attention and tugging every heart string of everyone who has put hundred and thousands of hours in so that they can bring on the next Destiny franchise and the “community” changes that narrative and the money will flow in like crazy. 200iq
@luckychappy_ Let’s be real D2 has been quite dead by its own standard for a while now and its biggest roar was bringing Cayde 6 back a few years ago just to kill him again. I love D2 but they killed themsleves with seasonal model that made the game feel like a full time job to keep up
Destiny 2 hit a player count of 167,867 on Steam following its final update, its highest in two years
It also reached double Marathon's all-time peak player count
This is what happens when you unleash the devs who actually care about the game & give the players what they want.
Congratulations to @Bungie for this launch & thank you for the last decade. #destiny2
To the Destiny 2 community,
Thank you.
As artists, our goal has always been to create worlds filled with wonder, mystery, beauty, and adventure. But what brings those worlds to life is you. You take our designs, our napkin sketches, our "wouldn't it be cool if..." ideas and transform them into something real. Your creativity, your passion, and your love for the game give our work purpose.
We've always believed Destiny could be a place where expression is celebrated, where players can see themselves and each other in the worlds we build, where every Guardian can forge their own legend—and you proved it.
Watching your Guardians grow, embrace new allies, take down bigger and badder bosses, solve mind-bending puzzles, dodge death traps, avoid Taken boopers, and overcome every Raid challenge we throw at you—all while looking incredible—has been a constant reminder of why this universe matters.
You shaped it. You made it matter. You are the light of Destiny.
With Monument of Triumph, we set out to create a series of love letters to Guardians, new and old. We shared a preview last week of armor inspired by early designs from the original Destiny but have also sprinkled some winks and nods throughout the rewards releasing tomorrow. We hope they feel like a small thank you for everything you’ve given us.
From all of us on the Destiny 2 art team, thank you for supporting us, inspiring us, and continuing to bring this world to life in ways we could never have imagined. You give our art meaning.
With gratitude,
The Destiny 2 Art Team
@CDLHater All fun and games till they win champs again for a 3rd time straight and become THEEEEEE second coming of the OPTIC Dynasty and everyone has to suck SHOTZZY ‘s nuts for being the GOAT
@JakeSucky I’m glad someone finally is taking the bull by the horns and showing a real stance against what is by far one the biggest downgrades and mistakes Bungie and Sony could have made. For Bungie to think they are gonna strike lightning for a third time is not odds I would take.
