The US Constitution only lays out three ways to replace a senator...1. Death 2. Resignation/retirement or 3. Expulsion (2/3 senate would need to vote). It doesn't matter if he isn't performing his duties because there is option 3 in which senate body can remove him as well as there are 99 other senators that can keep senate operating. Senators represent the state and not the people. It's not like there is a 25th amendment to remove a singular head of state for senators. If I were McConnell, I would resign, but I would resign after the cutoff date for special election for the mere fact that he is being replaced very soon anyways. We all know the reason why he can't do his duty...his health is bad. He is not the 1st senator for this to happen to. Senator Ted Kennedy never resigned when he was diagnosed with a brain tumor and missed months of voting and no one complained. After months of no voting he finally died while in office. This is an absolute non-issue and mainly driven by loony left and woke right wingnuts.
@Bluto78@Mollyploofkins True...it's not a law of physics, but extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence. Right now the simplest explanation still has the highest probability by far and that is McConnell is not well, but he is alive. He officially retires Jan 3, 2027 anyways.
Is it innocent until proven guilty or guilty until proven innocent? It's not McConnells responsibility to prove he is alive(innocent), but inquiring minds to prove he is dead(guilty)...not the other way around. I would think that with all of the medical personnel as well as hundreds of other ancillary people surrounding him we would have definitively found out weeks ago. Once he is dead there are no HIPAA requirements and death certificates can't be forward dated by law. I am not a McConnell fan by any means.
Nah. Gallrein Farms is the family farmโEd is 5th generation from Shelby County, which is in KY-4. He runs Circle G Farm & Stables right there. Retired Navy SEAL Captain with multiple Bronze Stars. Trump endorsed him and he beat the incumbent in the primary. You got the facts wrong, bud. Sit down. Do you live in KY? Probably not..so go back to your weird libertarian fantasies.
The vast majority of Massie's donors this year came from California, New York and DC...not a lot from his district or KY in general. That tells you right there he wasn't popular even in his own district. He used to be extremely popular and usually had no or very little competition from 2024 and back because he wasn't grandstanding and was representing his constituents wishes. His district is literally 2/3 registered Republican. Dems have no chance regardless. The only way Massie could win in future elections is if he runs as a Republican. He is now persona non grata in Republican party. Maybe he can run as a Libertarian...they never win anyways.
@MrPenguin289@LeadingReport Trump released all that he can legally release...you may want to complain to the judges blocking him. He never said no new wars...he said no forever wars like 20 years in Afghanistan and Iraq. He is CIC and is privy to info we don't have.
@kulturekin70074@LeadingReport Well I would assume that if he produced all of this evidence the media would be talking about it 24/7. I don't watch the news...what are they saying?
@kulturekin70074@LeadingReport Well shouldn't he have produced all of this evidence already? He has nothing left to lose now since he lost his primary. Me thinks Massie was just grandstanding.
McConnell is still alive and hopefully he will resign when it is too late for KY Governor to call special election. If that is truly the case that's what he would definitely do as he is the ultimate Machiavellian. Only 3 ways to replace a Senator...Death, resignation or expulsion by 2/3 senate.
