Good evening! We have another advocacy update that we are happy to share with you. Senate Bill 111 (an act related to coverage for the treatment of stuttering) passed today in the House. Thank you, KSHA members, for all of your advocacy efforts. You make a difference!
Two advocacy updates from today:
First, the stipend for those with their CCCs is in the Senate budget and will remain in the final budget!
Second, SB111 passed committee and will now head to the House floor for a vote (contact your legislators to support). Thank you, @MKG14!
KSHA is always looking for new ways to serve our members! As part of our strategic plan targeting DEI engagement, Kinya Embry-Wright, SLP at JCPS and UofL faculty member, presented to the KSHA Executive Council at the March board meeting.
