@pnwnyr41 @islanders_takes Pretty easy to have good defensive metrics when you’re playing less than 15 minutes a night and getting sheltered also matching up against other teams 3rd and 4th lines being a 3rd pair d-man. Oh and also have Igor behind you to cover up for any mistake made

@IslesGirl3 Increasing cap as well. Not a bad deal for a guy with 35 points last year and a roughly 40 point pace year prior for us who besides Schaefer don’t have many offensive providing defensemen

Still has a burst in him as he showed blowing by Ekblad for a game winner against Florida and the jewels to go with Tkachuk twice. You keep that

Had a handful of very winnable games they didn’t show up for and special teams the PK was a complete 180 from last year but the PP couldn’t capitalize on key opportunities down the stretch
