After a mass uprising across Kenya culminated in protesters storming the Parliament building and police killing 23 people, Kenyan President Ruto will no longer be signing the unpopular finance bill. Protesters defeated a measure that was set to worsen the cost of living crisis.
Kenya's President William Ruto has officially withdrawn the controversial Finance Bill following massive protests.
The $2.3 billion tax plan has been scrapped.
22 people have died in the peaceful protests.
