USC transfer Kijani Wright has committed to Vanderbilt.

The 6’9” sophomore center appeared in 28 games, averaging 3.9 points, and 2.6 rebounds in 12.0 minutes per game.

Wright was a former McDonald’s All-American in 2022, and played for Sierra Canyon. High upside player who’s a tough rebounder, and defender.

I get the Byington hate, but at the end of the day he’s had 2 losing seasons in 11 years of coaching at Georgia Southern and James Madison. His floor is high and that’s what Vanderbilt needs currently. My biggest question is what’s the ceiling? Time will tell.
