Former National Treasury CS, Prof. Njuguna Ndung'u, says whereas institutions in Kenya have the capacity to do the right thing, "the current President overruns all the institutions and that is why everybody in those institutions will have to conform, for fear"
When oil was at historic lows of $67 last year, they refused to lower the prices and pass on the savings to us.
Now, it's heading to $120 a barrel. And they are already asking us to swallow the pain through higher prices.
Kazi yetu ni kumeza uchungu, na wao wakule mautamu.
The government is very quick to marshall police and the military when you protest against the cost of living but when you are in a real emergency because of floods suddenly they are overwhelmed and nowhere to be seen. They don’t care about you, only about protecting power
@amenaceandmore@eleliayub Well I partly agree with you. Its more of code logic and application architecture(including database design). I was just pointing out that a few people locally work on systems doing more than 10k tps.
@OauthNature@eleliayub Again, I said microsoft and google since they have systems doing more than 10k tps thus engineers working on this products would have built a system that does more than 10k tps. I didnt say that they were better.
@OauthNature@eleliayub I didn’t say only google, I included microsoft. The kenyan tech seen has few systems built locally that do more than 10k tps. I didn’t say people dont build scalable systems, I have said a few have built a 10k tps system in Kenya
@OauthNature@eleliayub Boss did you just compare iot transactions to financial system transactions? No double entry, audit logs or any process guarantees of correctness? Is there even idempotency for iot systems?
Tech content creation. The home of failed software engineers.
I respect very few Tech content creators in Kenya because they have a technical track record.
