First weekend in critical care and on call done ✔️ challenging and mentally exhausting to say the least, but reflecting on it now it only proves how much I have learnt and developed already in my first 5 weeks as a Band 5💪🏼 Much more to come but, I CAN DO THIS
Average cost of a level 3 ITU bed is £2500 per day from 2019 figures. ECMO starts at £6500. The mean length of stay of our patients on COVID was around 35 days. Those of you who abuse & leech of this system have no idea what is on the line.
Feels AMAZING to change my bio and officially say that today was my first day as a permanent Band 5 Physiotherapist! Being thrown straight in at the deep end with on call training but so excited to get settled and start this journey. First stop on the rotations: medicine💉
Last day of my temporary Covid contract and my birthday means buffet at work😍 had an amazing 3 months working with the SMART team at @NewcastleHosps, learnt so much, supported by an amazing team and actually developed a love for respiratory! Onto whatever comes next!😬
Remember whilst discussing safety around online #pulmonaryrehab that the biggest risk is in doing nothing and the longer you spend talking about it the longer people are left to become more reconditioned, lonely and alienated. Anything is better than nothing #pulmonaryrehabweekuk
@thecspstudents I’m a new graduate physio working as a temp B5 with my temp registration, I have csp membership but am still awaiting my degree classification. Am I in an eligible position to purchase and wear ‘chartered physiotherapist’ polos in practice?
130 students and staff from @nuphysiosoc will be each running 10km in the wc 22nd June to raise money for the Northern Oesophagogastric Unit, in memory of our lecturer and friend, Trevor Wynter. Please see the JustGiving page for more info 💙 https://t.co/aTOkcGSXsx
News that our lecturer Trevor Wynter has passed away has been deeply upsetting to our whole cohort. His passionate talk about physio at a Northumbria open day was what sold me on the profession. He will be so dearly missed by Northumbria Physio, and everyone who knew him 💛
And today marks the end of our journey as Physiotherapy students @NorthumbriaUni, what a great year it’s been with such an unfortunate ending. Congrats to everyone on their achievements over the last 3 years! Keep safe and stay positive! Over and out, society of 2019/20 ❤️
Submitted my last assignment today... 5 years, 1 false start at university and 3 years of blood, sweat, tears and other bodily fluids later and I guess I’m a physiotherapist graduate! Time for the next chapter, whatever that my be 😬😁
