I took a week’s break from writing to reset back in August... 6 months later I’m still on that break :/
So now for lent, I will be working on the book every day for 40 days to rebuild the habit. Because dammit, I will finish this editing this book!
@jzpitts Honestly I don’t, I take the evening to refresh. If I try to push through when I’m stressed or knackered then the writing won’t be quality, I’ll probably cut corners in my editing and I’ll only remain mentally tired until the next day.
I have had a few (crazy 😱💍) weeks off but I’m back to #writing!
4,000 more #edited words added to the folder for my alpha reader.
Progress may be a bit slower going from now but still determined to have these edits done but Christmas at the latest!
@allisonkrebel I think is one of those ones where we say it one way but it’s written another. So it’s “a whole other” but for some reason in speech we all add an n in there!
@caytlyn_brooke Outside of writing but same rule. My brother is called Louis and we all had a wonder for a while on how we’d write it but as his name is a proper noun and singular it should be Louis’s. It doesn’t look neat but technically correct
@EvelynGrimald My current WIP was saved as “Manuscript” until a few thousand words into the first round of edits. (Tbh some of the files relating to it haven’t been renamed yet!)
To me the title is a marketing piece and doesn’t make a jot of diff to the story
Back tackling a chapter which, due to mechanics changes from the first draft, has to be rewritten. It’s stalled me for 2 weeks while I waited for my alpha reader to catch up. I know how I’m fixing it now... so why will my brain still not focus?!
Disappointed to say this is the first week since I started editing that I’ve not made progress. A mixture of a busy work week and hitting a challenge in the story had me stalled.
But no fret, I’ll reset tonight and tomorrow is a new week!
