The MCTM fall conference was a great meeting of Michigan math teachers yesterday! Thanks to Kelly Hemmerling (AP Precalculus) and Sammi TenHave and Erica Thacker (Math Therapy) for being the best copresenters ever! Also, shout out to @Wipebook and @TheMathGuru for the resources!!
Always a pleasure to present webinars for @TICalculators! Tonight’s focus was on rates of change in AP Precalculus and helping students to visualize that change! Thanks to Vicki Carter for being such a fabulous co-presenter!
This Fourth of July, let’s celebrate independence—not just of a nation, but of thinking. 🧠✨
Encourage your students to reason, question, and explore math with freedom and curiosity.

After 12 consecutive days of work, my 20th AP Calculus reading is now in the books! With over 2000 people involved, we scored ~440,000 exams this year. Honored to serve as exam leader!
Such an honor to have @joboaler attend the first session of the @michiganmath book study on Math-ish tonight! We loved hearing her thoughts on math diversity!
Just finished reading Jo Boaler’s new book and am so inspired to incorporate her ideas into my classroom!
If you are a Michigan math teacher, join us for the MCTM book study on Math-ish that begins August 8. It’s free if you are a member!
