Well, well, @virginmedia . Currently 41 days late with installation. Absolutely promised a call from a manager on 4th Jan- nothing, so I called 11th Jan, absolutely promised a call from a manager again within 36 hours. Nothing. Looks like @Offcom next.

@virginmedia It just wasn’t done correctly. The cables are fitted to the property, but they are not connected correctly- the line is dead. Which means they weren’t checked.
And no-one at the call centre can ensure the work is put right. And there’s no-one else to contact, except for here.

@virginmedia The problem was identified by @virginmedia technician on December 5th. External company confirmed on 31st Dec. They had failed to check the work on 4th Dec. They’ve failed to put the work right since. Despite many calls to Virgin Media, this hasn’t been made a priority. 41 days

@virginmedia The original install date was 5th Dec, arranged in November. The external work was botched, TWICE. @virginmedia promised to rectify this as soon as possible- 30 December. Then, a delay until 29th Jan. So no, I won’t rest assured, and this is far from ideal.

Sadly, I can’t, as they have delayed installing broadband for what is now TWO MONTHS. Already a month late, they’ve just knocked it back AGAIN after promising to do it before 2025.
Incompetent, incapable, unhelpful.
