most of this week was finishing the infra needed for the mainnet upgrade and bring octra’s private compute stack together into something validators and developers can actually start using
•the latest node updates improved stability, accuracy and other parts needed before the final merge
•octra’s privacy features are being brought together, including HFHE, private functions, encryption, stealth transactions and migration of older private balances
•mainnet connection configs are coming, so validators will soon be able to connect directly
•gpu support is also being prepared for private ai inference through circles
•AMLC / Applied ML documentation, new security research, updated docs and website improvements are also on the way
•upcoming ecosystem updates, including coin-related changes, listings, ethereum:0x4647e1fe715c9e23959022c2416c71867f5a6e80 on more networks and work on private interoperability with ethereum

we're close to merging mainnet chads
next comes full hfhe privacy, stealth txs, gpu-powered private ai through circles, amlc docs, token/listing updates, ethereum:0x4647e1fe715c9e23959022c2416c71867f5a6e80 on two more chains, and a still-secret private protocol in eth
octrober can't come soon enough
another important overnight update has been released (as always, validators recommend updating as soon as possible), and the main net is one step away from final merging.
the remaining parts (mini-roadmap):
1). we anticipate merging all primitives (especially the HFHE circuit with all private funcs, encryption, stealth txs, and legacy ct migration) tomorrow night + a webcli update (also mandatory, otherwise some primitives won't work)
2) the next step is ready2use configs for connecting to the main net, with a full set of attestations, including GPU for private inference with full HFHE support - hfhe_caps:[], hfhe_mode:Direct with results via "octra_circleComputeStatus", so you can use the circle endpoint as a gateway to connect to models (for convenience, we've already preloaded several models without any security filters, and also expanded the interaction interface; you can work in chat via webcli or via the API, the usage flow is quite simple - deploy the circle, set the model provider, set visibility (private or publicly), installation of connection tools (e.g., clear web gate or Tor, or octra's circle membrane via the oct:// protocol), effort and inference are paid in native oct coins. reminders to the validators, if you have free GPUs, it's time to create a symlink on your future nodes
3). long-awaited docs on the amlc compiler and Applied ML (fyi: an early release is available on GitHub),
4). 2 security sketches (you'll see which ones in the publication's fact sheet, i reckon it turned out interesting)
5). update of the main website and general docs (wasn't on the radar at all, as we were exclusively focused on deep tech work and didn't have time to polish it up)
6). several updates regarding the coin (one strategic update), several listings, and deployment of a wrapped version on two new networks,
7). release of a private proto for octra + EVM (Ethereum), there are no details here yet so as not to attract unnecessary attention.

another important nightly update has been completed, which included several things important for the devnet, and therefore also for the mainnet:
1. exact arithmetic - we moved 512 bit scalar reduction into wide form, eliminated rare truncation of the high bit, negative constants in the VM now go into the field signed, and not as before (before we used unsigned casting andthis problem had been there for a long time, we only noticed it now), normalization of the empty part of the ciphertext is now implemented correctly (before multiplication and addition with a constant), also improvements in Q16, and the arithmetic mode is pulled through everything possible, all flows where it can be involved are now covered explicitly
2. MEMORY. the proposers and preverify cache now takes bytes into account and not only the number of tasks (the mechanic is transferred from bootstrap nodes), repeating strings are now interned through a weak table, also now the pre verify cache is reset on state root change, and does not pile up in the heap and stale results do not accumulate (the storage node mechanic is transferred to the lite node),
3 . nil quorum prevote advances the round immediately, and not as before when a node could idle for the full timeout, and a proposal with still unavailable time of the previous epoch will wait and retry, and not refuse blindly, also validator set retention is transferred (a similar mechanic is implemented on bootstrap nodes and has previously proven its effectiveness)
3. another pile of profile tests (earlier we decided to gradually bring all testing tools into public access and continue to do so).

devnet has received the necessary updates and successfully moved on to the final stage, mainnet has practically caught up with dev net in terms of functionality and now shares the same core implementation, dev activity is on the rise, and configs for p2p connections are on the way.
all devnet validators should update to marker 14 when it goes into effect in a couple of hours, and a separate configurator and script will be available for switching to the mainnet, which will be published later in the coming days.
