@DeveshsK_ Unless we put the spotlight on this Apartheid worm from South Africa, we'll keep taking such nonsense. Pity instead of banning his compromised SM, Indian government keeps promoting it.
Stay with Modi. He understands India way better than us Twiterrartis do. Your accomplishments notwithstanding, we are a poor, malnourished country. We need to keep going. And supporting govt is one way to do it. Contributing effort and money is even better.
@SriniN123 The markets of a visionary leader is one who facilitates the society to break out of its weaknesses. Modi was given that power by the people. He failed to deliver.
You can have ideological differences with him. Maybe the militant secularism aka anti Hinduism or corruption will eventually rear its head, but as of now, he is ticking all the right boxes. Even hardcore BJP supporters in Tamil Nadu are pleasantly surprised by his performance. If Vijay is able to curb corruption, he would have set a new standard in Indian governance.
Saritha Komatireddy JUST STEAMROLLED Letitia James in this debate!🔥🔥🔥
Saritha Komatireddy: “New York spends $126 billion on Medicaid every year. That’s more per resident than any other state in the country, and twice as much per resident as New Jersey. That doesn’t make any sense. We’re both blue states with similar demographics and similar policies.
There’s about $40 billion in unexplained spending that Letitia James has failed to investigate.
We used to have one of the best Medicaid fraud units in the country under previous Democratic attorneys general. We recovered about $250 million a year. Letitia James came in, and it took a nosedive to $19 million.
Under previous Democratic attorneys general, we secured about 100 criminal convictions a year. Under Letitia James, that number hit an all-time low of eight.
She gets 2,000 patient abuse complaints a year and secures maybe one or two convictions. That means someone could be punching an elderly patient in a nursing home, and no one is doing anything.”
Imagine going to US on a dual-intent VISA in the hope that you can become a citizen. And you stay there for decades without a reasonable shot at Green card. While every other national selling Kebabs on street corner gets naturalized.
She said it the nice way.
I'll depart from that cordiality to say it plainly.
JD Vance and his "fraud task force" are a bunch of fucking liars, twisting facts and figures to create the illusion of non-existent, widespread, rampant systemic H-1B visa fraud and abuse of PERMS to anger and scare low-IQ nitwits about programs they have no idea about.
Vance and his flying monkeys are abusing their positions and the implied trust and faith of their offices to engage in financial warfare against domestic and international corporations in a brazen and overt act of jingo-Marxism. They are no better than the Democrats and their DSA nonsense.
I will not tell you to cast your vote during the midterms, but I will tell you this:
This was the straw that broke my camel's back.
I will not vote for ANY Republican until MAGA and all their minions are purged from power and the @gop.
If Texas goes blue, so be it.
I'll burn this mother fucker to the ground and plant a new crop so next season we will have a better harvest.
DON'T MESS WITH TEXAS!
Indians, being the pussies they are, never raised this issue as strongly as it needed to be. Now it has come to the fore. As an Indian, I hope they stop all immigration from India.
As a neutral observer, it pains me how much we suffer, without even complaining.
Dear Elon @elonmusk
You hv certainly stirred up plenty of reaction with ur posts. But this needs a response from me, as did ur “Electronic Voting machines can be hacked” post from some time ago.
As someone who knows a little bit abt Telecom as someone who played a decent-ish role in building Indias wireless sector as an Entrepreneur and then as a policy maker , let me share my thoughts.
It is true that Indias Telecom was a sector beset with opaqueness and corruption for several decades - where cronies ruled under the benevolent love and the politics of ur latest fan (name not withheld - @RahulGandhi )
But under PM @narendramodi , 3 principles govern the tech (including Telecom/Internet) sector.
Open, Safe & Trusted and Accountable.
#OSTA
✅ Open - Free from any monopoly-duopoly. Free and fair competition.
✅ #SafeAndTrusted - Infra, Network , Platforms must be safe and trusted.
✅ Accountable - Every participant should be legally accountable for safety and trust.
I was a MP first and then part of PM @narendramodi jis team when this framework was developed. I have more than a little experience of fighting years of political and bureaucratic opaqueness and corruption, which shaped these principles.
so todays India is not that old crony driven India.
I am not in govt anymore and certainly dont speak for it. But it seems to me that Govt has made it clear: all three satcom licensees are at broadly the same stage of ensuring security clearance by verifying its safety and trust first, then spectrum.
Satellite IP services have many security implications. More so in a country like India which has faced years of Terror and insurgency supported by inmical state actors in our neighbourhood. From 26/11 terror attacks to recent ones in Pahalgam, satcom has been preferred comm for Terrorists. Satellite VOIP and encryption creates more challenges security wise. Not insurmountable but new capabilities and capacity hv to be built to ensure Safety and Trust.
I hv used @Starlink and I think its awesome technology - and represents a new era in mobility innovation. No doubt.
But a country has to plan for itself and its interests before every new choice. Thats what India is doing. Patience is unavoidable and in this case is a necessity.
If these gutter dwellers feeding off Musk's propaganda machine could count, they wouldn't be on Twitter stinking up the whole place. They would be taking home cool cash in the Tech paradise of the world.
Vikings are spoiling for a fight.
Norwegians gave Noble peace prize to a woman of Indian heritage from South Africa. And Trump's unflattering statue to be installed in European parliament was funded by Danes 😇
Heartiest congratulations to Smt Navanethem “Navi” Pillay avl on being awarded the Nobel Peace Prize.
Rising from humble beginnings in Durban, South Africa, where her parents were of Tamil descent and her grandfather was brought from India to work on sugar plantations, she has pursued a lifelong crusade against apartheid, gender discrimination, and systemic injustice, standing as a towering beacon of resilience and courage.
Her close association with former South African President Nelson Mandela is a testament to her unyielding commitment to justice and her lifelong dedication to upholding human dignity.
From serving as a fearless human rights lawyer and the first non-white female judge in South Africa's High Court to her stellar leadership as the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, she has shown unwavering dedication to the marginalised, making her a source of immense pride.
This is not about any one corporation. This is all about this administration’s desire to end all legal immigration and cut off the ability of hard working immigrants to stay here and contribute to our country.
This administration has pardoned grifters and is stealing money from the American people.
Sir, wake up & smell the coffee. Even today, Indian market is so small and ruinous that Indian giants consider it as exposure. What to say of 3 decades ago! Celebrate the people who built IT industry. IfUS goes nut, it will hurt us a lot. And they will take hits too.
This shows that India should have invested on its own app platforms rather than focus on merely doing software for American companies.
What do you think?
@Saatvata Don't understand this need to find evidence. Even if someone blasphemed, the aggrieved party will murder them.
The only way to stop this is through deterrence. If you do it, you lose your own principles. What a painful dilemma!
#WATCH | Delhi | At the India Mobile Congress 2026 Session, Vice President of Starlink Business Operations at SpaceX Lauren Dreyer says, "For the past five years, Starlink has been working closely with Indian regulators, industry, and operators to understand how to adapt and prepare Starlink operations here in India to serve India best. We have built our Starlink operations specifically for India in recognition of Indian security requirements and other regulations... We have already made the investment and built the existing ground infrastructure here: 20 gateway sites comprising hundreds of antennas, and we have established the operations to be ready to serve India... Starlink offers the biggest potential to help accelerate the speed to connect 100% of India..."
