*Sajad Lone Pays Floral Tributes to 1931 Martyrs*
_Says Present Govt. Has Chosen Amnesia Over Restoring July 13 Holiday_
*Srinagar, July 13:* J&K Peoples Conference President and MLA Handwara, Sajad Gani Lone, paid floral tributes on Sunday to the martyrs of July 13, 1931, describing the day as one inscribed not merely in history but in the collective conscience of the people of Jammu and Kashmir.
He said the occasion represents a long denied recognition that continues to await the dignity it deserves.
Speaking on the occasion, Lone launched a scathing attack on the present dispensation, accusing it of relegating history to irrelevance while substituting governance with political spectacle.
"This government has made no sincere effort to restore this public holiday, honouring the sacrifice of our native heroes. It has chosen theatre over truth, rhetoric over resolve and in doing so, has turned its back on history itself," he said.
Lone asserted that collective memory cannot be extinguished through executive decrees.
"No government order can erase what a people choose to remember," he remarked, adding that the restoration of July 13 as a public holiday is not a concession but a long overdue obligation rooted in historical justice.
Restoring the day as a public holiday, he said, would transcend symbolism.
"It would constitute an act of moral and historical restitution, restoring to those who laid down their lives the honour they rightfully deserve and reaffirming Jammu and Kashmir's commitment to an honest remembrance of its past," he concluded.

JKPC General Secretary Molvi @imranrezaansari pays his respects to Ayatullah Syed Ali Khamenei, honouring his enduring message of faith, justice, dignity, and resistance.
May Allah (SWT) bless him and guide us all on the path of righteousness.
Here is another shocker. This person who always wants to take the high moral ground finds fault with calling an E x Hurriyat ( then sitting in Pakistan lap. Now sitting in New Delhi lap) a Pakistani.
But not a word of condemnation against the perpetrators of a murderous attack against a young man who happens to be the son of a fellow community leader. In fact, if anything miring the murderous event into ambiguity.
So all the sympathy everything is for you. You wear the martyr clothes at the drop of a hat for an atrocity against your late father which we all condemn till date. But you don’t want to condemn unambiguously and unconditionally a murderous attack on the son of a fellow community leader.
What a shame.
And yes may I ask. Who martyred your late father. Was it the Indian state or the Pakistani state. At the time of the martyrdom of your late father, there was a Tanzeem called Hizb e Momineen. Who ran it. Would you clear it for us. Who was the representative of the your community in the Hurriyat. Wasn’t Imran Sahib’s father almost martyred in a mine attack.
Come elections and you say you are an orphan. And what about this young man who was attacked with swords. So loss is a loss of it pertains to you and your family. Rest all losses or attacks or murders are subject to conditionality. They need your moral clearance.
Come out of the cuckoo world. We all know how people in Kashmir get political space. In a place where mere liking of an FB post attracts four to five years of UAPA, selected few have the licence to say whatever they want to. You are one of them. And I am not surprised by your behaviour.
Throwing a fellow Kashmiri under a bus. And the young boy who was attacked. Our dearest Jawad and our dear brother Irfan Ansari sahib. Were they not Kashmiris. Or did they deserve to be thrown under the bus. Or does your highness have a new distinction between a good Kashmiri and a bad Kashmiri.
But I am happy at least you have exposed who you are. Your concept of morality is decided on the basis of your personal likes and dislikes. Not on the basis of what is moral and what is immoral. I knew it all along. I am not surprised
Wishing @SuhiMeer a happy birthday. May you live long. And may you live a memorably long life filled with contentment and happiness. May Allah bless you.

An inquiry cannot be a conviction. It’s a total injustice to keep a well acclaimed professional of his field, under suspension, without following the due process as required by the law.
So this is the bombshell. 48 or so MLAs and other party leaders congregated in a wild life zone and a little bird tells me that they scared the indigenous inhabitants.
And they conferred and conferred, trying to come up with something that resembles or qualifies even remotely to be a bombshell, as threatened by CM sahib, a few weeks back.
So the NC version of a bombshell announcement is that they will sit on a protest at Jantar Mantar. I can understand protest. But where is the bombshell. I had thought CM sahib will do something innovative that will shake the corridors of power in Delhi. That would have actually qualified to be a bombshell. This looks more like a Choclate way of throwing a tantrum, than a bombshell as threatened by CM. Good boys will go to Jantar Mantar and protest on an orderly manner, replete with their respective securities. And of course full media coverage. Some “bada log” join too.
I have to say CM sahib is the most uncreative person I have come across.
What a Damp squib. What an underwhelming outcome of so grand a threat.
And yet another attempt to divert attention from their failures. Try to divert attention from lies of the election manifesto. Yet another attempt at sob stories.
The final analysis. Maybe this is the Choclate version of a bombshell. Just wondering what was that grand threat of a bombshell about. Someone has to finally even if reluctantly grow up and stop being a baby.
The joke is yet again in the Kashmiri who voted for them.
And may I if you permit strongly advocate the calling of an Assembly session and at last, PASS A RESOLUTION FOR STATEHOOD in the assembly. And send it to Parliament and send it to CM of every state in India. And for a change can Speaker sahib and his set of selective laws and unique interpretations be kept aside. And a resolution finally be passed.
The real outrage isn't where the meeting was held- it's watching people who sold the idea of autonomy now pretending to be its guardians.
A pat on the back from Nagpur may not matter to you anymore; you've already built an entire political brand on pats from elsewhere.
Funny coming from BJP's poster girl of "Naya Kashmir," who never misses a chance to echo Delhi's script while lecturing others about loyalty to the Riyasat.
Some of us don't need certificates of Kashmiriyat from those who market every central diktat as a local achievement.
I understand your outrage that the meeting wasn't held in Nagpur. But some of us will choose our own Riyasat over a pat on the back, every single time.

#VIDEO || “I don’t take any statement by Omar Abdullah seriously. Nothing will come out of the June 3 meeting of NC. They will continue to work on the old salary . Don’t compare oranges (Kashmiris) with apples (Ladakhis): @sajadlone.

A little birdie tells me that CM sahib called on the Home Minister recently.
And the photo that emerged out of the meeting was CM sahib like an overexcited marathoner grinning from ear to ear, handing over a bouquet, ostensibly congratulating the BJP for the recent electoral meeting.
In the meeting CM sahib apparently complained about the time taken for clearing the Reservation file. And apparently yet again CM sahib was informed that the file has been despatched 3 weeks back. Nobody it seems told CM sahib.
And yet again, yet again apparently the Centre has queried as to how the sub Committe came to the conclusions that have been forwarded.
Very humbly may I state. I had asked the same question in assembly and asserted that there is no evidence of research. The recommendations
sent should have been a research backed document based on scientific evidence.
Anyways. God bless those who voted them to power 🤔
This chocolate boy thinks Rs 800 blue tick makes him an authority on Kashmir who can give clean chits. Learn the difference between an open ballot and a secret ballot first. You need a blue tick and a fake name like Mr. X to impress politicians.
And I will tell you how your tweet helps those who locked this Darul Aloom. They will tell the whole world that we are fair people. Look at Mirwaiz. Did we arrest him. And we are so liberal that he has the space to Criticise us.
That is what your role is now.
Please tell us how someone like you who was state guest in Pakistan, Who has been an avowed secessionist is out of jail. Why haven’t you ever seen the interiors of a proper jail. Please tell me.
First we have multiple agencies chasing citizens under one pretext or another. Then properties of locals are confiscated. Students protesting alleged misconduct are booked under the Public Safety Act (PSA), send to jails outside, ruining their lives and careers. A sitting MP is denied bail to visit his critically ill father and now a leading educational institute with a rich legacy of serving the underprivileged and producing scholars, doctors, engineers, and professionals is declared unlawful under stringent UAPA!
Can the LG administration tell people of Kashmir clearly how long they will continue this policy of harassment and disempowerment? And can the elected Govt tell us how long they will let this happen?
The Nasha Mukth Abhiyan is such an important step. My thanks to the Honourable @manojsinha_ Ji.
I have been a social welfare minister in the past. And it was scary. I remember, the scourge of drugs was dangerously creeping in and we as government were totally unprepared. There is so much that needs to be done.
The menace of drugs has emerged as the most vicious threat to our society. We as a society have to acknowledge that the monster of drugs staring at our faces is real. And that we have to collectively wage a war against it.
